Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have the pleasure to present you the new Corporate Social Responsibility Report Report prepared by Totalizator Sportowy. This is a source of knowledge about our most significant activities in the years 2013 – 2014. It includes all important aspects, that is information about finances, products, sales as well as knowledge about tasks of corporate social responsibility policy of Totalizator Sportowy. Our goal was to show not only the results we achieve but also the way we do it and the way we share them with the public. The title of the report says it all – we play for sports and culture. Not everyone remembers that Totalizator Sportowy was created 60 years ago precisely in order to collect funds for the development of Polish sport. Now we have another goal – to support culture. One could say that we are one of the first companies in postwar Poland which was created with the purpose of activity for the benefit of the society. And so it remains today. Totalizator Sportowy, the state owned company, organizes draw-based and cash lotteries so that every year, owing to surcharges only, it donates over half a billion of Polish zlotys to sport and culture. These two very important spheres are also supported from our own resources. And all this thanks to our players who are fully entitled to call themselves the greatest patrons of Polish sport and culture. I would like to thank them for this great contribution.This report is also a description of our involvement in such activities as the provision of responsible gaiming and building friendly work environment. We are an active participant in international initiatives, such as professional lottery associations. We support the principles of the Global Compact, an initiative of the UN Secretary General, which promote values that are close to us, too.Reports prepared by Totalizator Sportowy change together with the company. We hope that this one will be the most interesting to you. You are warmly invited to read and become acquainted with it.

8 9About the company

Our environment Our business environment is regulated by the Gambling Act of November 2009 which out-lines the principles of establishing and man-aging games of chance, betting and gaming machines. Games of chance are games which offer cash and non-cash winnings. Their re-sult depends on randomness. Betting also involves cash and non-cash winnings but it requires guessing the results of sports com-petitions or the occurrence of events. Slot machines provide games which contain an element of randomness. Operating the busi-ness connected with draw-based games, cash lotteries and telebingo games are with-in the monopoly held by the state whereas other types of games, betting, contests and lotteries, require an appropriate licence or permission of the Ministry of Finance or the Customs Chamber. Arranging gaming and slot machines is allowed only in casinos. By the end of 2015, all the licences, which had been issued before the change in the legislation, will have expired. In Poland it is forbidden to arrange and participate in online gaming ex-

cept for betting. Polish legal regulations are strictly respected by Totalizator Sportowy. We are the only business entity on the Polish market which contributes billions to the state budget in respect of taxes and mandatory payments to the special funds. These funds are used to sponsor the construction and ren-ovation of numerous sports facilities as well as cultural and sport events.

Strategy and business riskWe optimise ongoing product and communi-cation operations and develop our sales net-work. While developing and verifying our development strategy, we forecast market changes and respond to them. In particu-lar, we take into account potential changes in legal environment, we forecast possible growth in illegal online gambling, a poten-tial change of the economic situation and random factors such as the number of accu-mulations. Our strategy for the coming years takes into account all the above mentioned challenges.

A LOTTO player’s profileEvery second adult in Poland plays LOTTO games. Lotto has been consistently enjoying most popularity, with 90 per cent share among players and 50 per cent share in the popula-tion of adult Poles. 1 in 10 Poles plays Multi Multi and Scratchcards. Our players perceive LOTTO games and lotteries as “entertainment for everybody” and the main incentive to take part in them is having fun. They also believe in luck and they like to dream what they would do if they hit the jackpot. LOTTO games are mostly played by men from urban areas. They usually play individually except for Scratch-cards. The percentage of players choosing ran-dom bets is increasing, as well as the number of people playing Lotto and Multi Multi Plus. Source: Study: The market of draw-based games and lotteries, IQS, 2014.

Expectations of players For several years we have been observing a significant change in requirements and cus-tomer behaviour. There is a growing expecta-tion that games and lotteries will be available at any time. The reaction to this demand is ex-panding the sales network and increasing the number of games available on a daily basis. In addition to changing the frequency of games, players also require product innovations and new distribution channels such as the Internet.

Communication In order to respond to market needs in a better way and provide accurate and complete infor-mation on our products, we conduct responsible communication in order to make LOTTO synony-mous with responsible and interesting gaming.

Staying faithful to our tradition and looking to the future In our latest marketing campaigns we have emphasized the connection between the new LOTTO umbrella brand and traditional values of Totalizator Sportowy, the national lottery operator. The LOTTO strong umbrel-la brand with a coherent portfolio of product brands uses its strengths and contributes to sales growth. We maintain the traditional To-talizator Sportowy logo in a new fresh form, as the link with the 60-year-old tradition. The name of Totalizator Sportowy corporate brand has been well-known for generations. Customer awareness, tradition, responsibili-ty and trust, which stay behind it, build the company’s image. Totalizator Sportowy is a noble, serious but also dynamic company. This is a long-term partner of Polish sports and culture.

The LOTTO campaign: playing for sports and culture It was the first brand image-building cam-paign conducted on such a large scale, fo-cused on promoting support which custom-ers of Totalizator Sportowy provide to Polish sports and culture. The intensive media cam-paign began in November 2013 and last-ed until the end of the year. It involved the press, TV, the Internet, outdoor and cinemas, as well as a competition on the lotto.pl web-site. The aim of that campaign was to show support which LOTTO players provide to Pol-ish sports and culture each year. The cam-paign continued in 2014 with its contex-tual spots and layouts – in connection with events which LOTTO brand was a partner of.

Our offer

The success of the last year is the result of consistent efforts to expand the offer taking into account existing legal restrictions and our product portfolio, which is already extensive. Important changes connected with refreshing and repositioning our products began two years ago and served to increase their attractiveness and availability to a larger group of customers. What is more, they resulted in significant growth of sales. Keno and Mini Lotto were the first to undergo these modifications. They were followed by the only terminal-based lottery in our portfolio – Kaskada. We have developed significantly a range of Scratchcards. We introduced Ekstra Pensja which redefined the concept of a big winning and which complemented the schedule of draws giving our players the chance of having their dreams come true every day. These measures appeared to be successful owing to recognising customer’s needs – meaning what players find important in specific products – and in-depth analysis of potential effects after implementing certain solutions. Implemented innovations were the perfect excuse for communication – an active sales network used them as a means of encouraging new customers to take part in games and lotteries. The last action included the repositioning of Multi Multi, which has influenced positively financial results. Konrad Komarczuk, Director, Department of Innovation and Product Development

LOTERIADAA holiday lottery present on the market for several years. In order to participate in the draw and win cars or tablets, it is enough to buy any of the products offered by LOTTO for a minimum of 5 PLN.

LOTTO studio and online drawsSince May 2013 it has been possible to watch evening LOTTO draws on a daily basis at 9:40 p.m. on the TVP Info channel. All the draws are broadcast live. The results of the draws can be checked in any LOTTO outlets. Every day on the LOTTO website at www.lot-to.pl we broadcast all draws of our lotter-ies at 2:00 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. It is also pos-sible to watch a video of each draw in the archives which is available for viewing for 7 days after the original date.

Sales networkWe have over 14,300 outlets in the whole country and we are still planning to increase this number to 15.000 by the end of 2015. LOTTO games can be purchased in 820 out-lets marked with a LOTTO logo as well as in selected hypermarkets. We have been developing and improving our sales net-

work. In 2014 we established 61 stand-ard lottery offices, which are located main-ly in shopping centres and city centres. We own 300 self-service LVM terminals, in which – since November 2014 – it has been possi-ble to purchase draw-based game bets with numbers chosen at random. We have been cooperating with 19 network partners. We conduct regular trainings for our sales agents and we have modern technological solutions as well as a unique system of dispersed sales which allows concluding transactions in less than 2 seconds. The system is constantly up-dated in order to meet the expectations of players, to introduce product innovations and to ensure complete safety. Every year we im-plement approximately 80 systemic changes.

High standardsWhile introducing innovations, our priori-ty is the safety of players. We have devel-oped and adopted the highest safety stand-ards to minimize potential threats. We pride ourselves with responsible gaming industry certificates awarded by the European Lotter-ies (EL) and World Lottery Association (WLA), which prove that our activities are being verified.

Our product portfolio Totalizator Sportowy has a portfolio of games and lotteries fully adapted to the needs of the Polish market. We try to differentiate the games at the level of customer engage-ment. Lotteries such as Kaskada or Scratch-cards are simple and do not require any-thing else than buying a share. Multi Multi, on the other hand, is a lottery whose popu-larity is unprecedented in the world, as well

as Scratchcards with an extensive scenario, for example, a Crossword, which is the most interesting entertainment for many players. In recent years we have expanded the range of product prices. The price of Scratchcards starts from 1 PLN. In draw games there is Mi-ni Lotto for 1,25 PLN, as well as Ekstra Pensja for 5 PLN, and some players regularly choose to play for 25 million PLN in Multi Multi Plus. On this bet one has to spend 50 PLN.

14 15About the company

The Służewiec Horse Racetrack is one of the most beautiful of its kind in the world. The whole complex was built in the 1930s of the last century and is entered in the register of historic monuments and thus subject to pro-tection. Since 2008 we have been leasing the racetrack and assuring the continuity of the functioning of the hippodrome. This is also the place where Totalizator Sportowy organ-izes horse racing. We have been revitalising the most important elements of horse race-track, building infrastructure and restoring its architectural originality. Our superior goal is to improve the sports as well as their organ-isational level. We would like to make horse racing fashionable again and to encourage viewers to come to the horse racetrack every week. Every season, for many years, the Służewiec horse racetrack has been gath-ering citizens of Warsaw of different age as well as tourists from Poland and abroad. A weekend trip to the Służewiec racetrack is an excellent opportunity to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle. There you can relax and at the same time – experience the thrill of competitions of jockeys and hors-es. The Służewiec Horse Racetrack is also the venue for numerous commercial events, in-

cluding the sports ones. The racing season lasts from April to November.

Events of 2013 included: 56 days of horse racing,

474 horse-races, including:

268 races of pure-bred English horses,

9 hurdle races,

175 races of pure-bred Arab horses,

22 trotting races.

Events of 2014 included: 55 days of horse racing,

484 horse-races, including:

259 races of pure-bred English horses,

8 hurdle races,

181 races of pure-bred Arab horses,

32 trotting races,

4 races of half-bred horses.

The most interesting horse racing events in-clude: The Opening of the Season, The Rul-er Award, Derby Gala, The Day of the United Arab Emirates, The St. Leger Award and The Great Warsaw Race. Every weekend, except for the summer break, there are horse-races intertwined with ceremonial galas: Derby or the Great Warsaw Race, which attract large audiences. The Derby Award, organized in Poland since 1896 and modelled on the Eng-

lish Derby at Epsom, is the most important classical selection race for the three-year-old stallions and mares. The Great Warsaw Race was established in 1895 by Count August Po-tocki, a president of the Horse Racing Asso-ciation in the Polish Kingdom of that time. There are also theme days, such as a French Day, a Russian Day, a Czech Day or a Cuban Day sponsored by the ambassadors of these countries.

In 2013-2014 there were many significant changes in the activity of the Służwiec Horse Racetrack. The racetrack infrastructure was improved and the cooperation with Cheval Français or partners from the United Arab Emirates – tightened. We became the member of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities – IFAHR. In 2014 we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the opening of the racetrack and the 70th Derby. I am convinced that further involvement of Totalizator Sportowy will revive the fashion for horse racing in Warsaw and will restore the splendour of the Służewiec Horse Racetrack.Grzegorz Sołtysiński, Member of the Management Board, Totalizator Sportowy

Wojciech SzpilChairman of the Management Board Our goal is to introduce social responsibility in every area of the strategy and every aspect of the company. The role of the person managing includes creating favourable conditions and ensuring consistency of declarations and real actions in this area. We are thinking about maximising our profits, building an attractive portfolio of products, having good relationships with players and providing them with sufficient protection. While creating our business we respect not only the legal requirements but also internal regulations which we impose on our company ourselves. We examine our products and conduct communication in a responsible way. Thanks to this our games and lotteries give customers joy and entertainment. We are also aware that we are changing the lives of people in the whole country since all Poles are beneficiaries of the funds paid by the company to the state budget in the form of subsidies for sports, culture and health.

Barbara SissonsManagement Board Member Sustainable development of the company all the time forces us to pay attention not only to what we do, but also to how we operate. Our approach to the business we conduct has two significant aspects. We do not lose the sight of the business objectives, we focus on devel-opment, growth in sales and profits. What is equally important is the way we obtain these profits. An ethical and transparent approach allows us to reconcile the interest of both the owner and the public. The responsibility for the influence of our decisions on our stakeholders, including customers, partners and the com-munity, is an important part of the company’s strategy.

Grzegorz SołtysińskiManagement Board Member The socially responsible company takes into account relationships with groups of stake-holders at the stage of building the strategy. Among the key groups are our employees. People involved in the development of the company are its greatest asset. In the work environment, relations based on partner-ship, trust and dialogue bear fruit and bring benefits to all stakeholders. Obtaining em-ployees for the common strategy, creating space for the dialogue and mutual hones-ty generate mutual benefits. They build a sense of a common purpose, they trigger creativity and efficiency and contribute to the development of the company.

A strategic approach

are supposed to support achieving aims such as:

Preparing for new business challenges;

Responsible sales;

Creating conditions for safe and responsible gaming.

Social involvementSocial involvement is an important area of commitment of the organization which has been supporting the development of Pol-ish society from the very beginning. This ar-ea is also connected with The LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation and its social activities. Our main goal is to:

Continue supporting Polish sports and culture.

A professional organizationIn order to achieve business objectives it is necessary to build a professional organiza-

tion based on ethics and values, creating op-portunities for employees and skilfully using the potential resulting from their diversity. It is important to build relationships with busi-ness partners based on trust and respect. Our main objectives in this area include:

Actions based on ethics;

Building a professional organization;

Exploiting the potential of diversity.

What supports activities in the above men-tioned areas is effective management, mon-itoring and periodic reporting. In the fol-lowing areas we present specific measures implemented within the CSR strategy.

The structure of CSR managementThe implementation of the Sustainable De-velopment Strategy and Responsible Gaming in Totalizator Sportowy involved several per-sons at different levels and different units of organization.

We believe that only those activities which are conducted with respect for the environment we are functioning in, may bring an added value for the society together with economic profits. Therefore, we strive to perform them in a responsible way. We have systemised our responsible approach by the Sustainable De-velopment Strategy and Responsible Gaming.

A strategic approachSeveral years ago we created and imple-mented the first corporate social responsibil-ity strategy. 2013 was the year of verification of the current approach and update of activi-ties planned for the coming years. The result of this work was the creation of refreshed Sustainable Development Strategy and Re-sponsible Gaming for 2013-2016. All activi-ties are assumed to support business goals while respecting our environment. The doc-ument highlights the key areas of company’s responsibility on which we focus our oper-ation. We developed it on the basis of ex-

ternal environment as well as current busi-ness and social challenges. Moreover, we also conducted the internal analysis based on the company’s documents and meetings with its key representatives. We took into ac-count conclusions from the implementation of the first strategy for 2010-2012.

The key areasThe strategy of Sustainable Development and Responsible Gaming (CSR) of Totaliza-tor Sportowy for 2013-2016 is based on three key strategic areas and on the area support-ing the management of its implementation.

Responsible GamingThis refers to the primary market responsi-bility of Totalizator Sportowy, which means ensuring safety for players and minimising potential social risks. This topic is particu-larly important in the context of European and global standards which the company meets. Activities conducted within this area

22 23Corporate Social Responsibility

Expectations of stakeholdersWorking on CSR strategy, as well as pre-paring for the development of the subse-quent corporate social responsibility report, we wanted to find out about opinions of our key stakeholders. We believe that in this way we can develop and improve our ac-tivities. While working on the strategy we identified the most important groups from the point of view of our company. It was very valuable and helped us to develop a range of reported data according to GRI G4 Core version.

Dialogue with stakeholders – AA1000SESWhile preparing our plans and activities we do not forget about our stakeholders. In No-vember 2014, we conducted a dialogue ses-sion with the representatives of our key stakeholder groups, based on AA1000SES standard. The external session could not take place without the representatives of govern-ment administration, NGOs, suppliers, busi-ness partners and beneficiaries. During the internal session we met together with our employees and associates. We heard com-

ments and opinions of important to us insti-tutions and individuals.

The result of the workshopThis publication is the result of our previ-ous experience in preparing reports and the effect of conducted sessions. By putting to-gether the expectations of internal and ex-ternal stakeholders and comparing them with data systems collected by the company, we chose indicators which fully demonstrate the way Totalizator Sportowy functions. We focus on three key areas, continuing previ-ously undertaken commitment to report on a regular basis. In comparison with our pre-vious reports, we decided not to present the data on consumption of raw materials and waste management. This results, among others, from the type of the business con-ducted. The report also presents the main achievements and current challenges which the organization is now facing and which it considers important in the next years. This is the result of discussions as well as analyti-cal and conceptual work of many groups con-nected with the company.

A customer satisfaction surveyDuring the two-year cycle we conduct the Us-age & Attitude study, which is a cross-sec-tional survey carried out on a representative sample of adult Poles. It concerns the attitude towards Totalizator Sportowy, Lotto games and practices associated with them. On its basis we plan strategies for the product port-folio which responds to the needs and expec-tations of customers in the best way. Since 2012 we have been conducting surveys mon-itoring the perception of individual games. These surveys take place twice a year. The following waves indicate the maintenance of high levels of positive associations. Accord-ing to respondents, LOTTO games are dreamy, optimistic and entertaining.

Network partners’ satisfaction survey We monitor the level of satisfaction of our partners with cooperation with Totalizator

Sportowy by fixed indicators, comparable across time. This applies to overall coopera-tion as well as its specific areas. We analyse the strengths and weaknesses of relation-ships with partners and define areas which should be followed or improved. Subsequent surveys demonstrate an increase in satisfac-tion with the quality of communication and cooperation. Our partners evaluate the cen-tralisation and standardisation of procedures as well as consultants dedicated to them in a positive manner. They display a very pos-itive attitude towards changing the image (a modern LOTTO brand), procedures (more flexible and active approach to partners) as well as product portfolio. The conclusions of a recent study (IQS from September to Oc-tober of 2014) point at increasing high eval-uation of our product portfolio and satisfac-tion with the support from our branches and headquarters.

Examples of communications

Disclosure of non-financial data, especially on the basis of recognised international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, is still practiced in Poland by dozens of companies – leaders in the field of corporate social responsibility. Therefore, it is worth noting and appreciating the effort and commitment of Totalizator Sportowy in preparation of another report concerning corporate social responsibility of the company. One should also appreciate the end result – meaning the report itself as well as the way it is prepared – defining and selecting the content with the participation of a wide range of company’s stakeholders invited to the dialogue. Responsible gaming with LOTTO We provide good fun to millions of Poles and help to fulfil their dreams. Our activities are characterized by responsibility and concern for the safety of players. The introduction of a new LOTTO product is preceded by sur-veys. We analyse not only the expectations of consumers but also the social impact of the game. Games and lotteries have trans-parent and accessible rules. Analysing social risks, we cooperate with experts and rely on the research results. Promoting and adver-tising procedures take into account not only legal restrictions but also wider self-regula-tions. We educate sales agents and custom-ers. We also monitor and report the effects of our activities. Many of the projects are im-plemented in cooperation with the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation. We meet the highest European and world standards es-tablished for lottery companies.

Players 18+Draw-based games and cash lotteries are a very attractive form of entertainment, which, however, is not available to every-body. LOTTO products are not intended for minors, which is marked by 18+ label stuck in a visible LOTTO products are not intend-ed for minors, which is marked by 18+ label stuck in a visible place in LOTTO outlets. We consistently protect young people. If the age of a player evokes any doubts, a sales agent is obliged to check his or her ID. We comply with the ban on the involvement of children in games and lotteries, which also includes filling out a ticket or choosing a scratchcard. Responsible behaviour of LOTTO sales agents in this area builds up safety and confidence of our customers.

Responsible gaming Product responsibility

Responsible gaming is one of the pillars of our marketing efforts. We are committed to building long-term relationships with players, and the condition for this is responsibility. At every stage – from the development of the concept of the game to its communications – we pay attention to this aspect. A person, who is not mature enough to play, is not the target of our marketing and sales activities. Our major achievement is significantly increased awareness that LOTTO products are intended only for adults. This applies both to our sales force as well as a wider range of players. In the matter of responsibility we also educate our partners and require them to respect our standards. Our activities in favour of responsible gaming have been recognised by international trade organizations. The company was awarded certificates by two important bodies – European Lotteries and Toto Association as well as the World Lotteries Association.Aleksandra Piszczorowicz, Director of Marketing and Promotion Department

Reliable information and transparency of activitiesComprehensive and reliable information on games and lotteries, including regulations, rules and paytables are available on the website www.lotto.pl and in LOTTO outlets. Sales agents undergo product trainings. We pass on information in a clear and compre-hensive way so that players can make con-scious decisions. Draw machines and balls are certified, undergo technical tests and are registered at the customs office. The super-vision over the proper course of draws lies in the hands of the Gaming and Betting Con-trol Commission. Draws in real time can be watched on TV and online. Regulations are approved by the Minister of Finance. We care about the safety of people receiving win-nings and protect their personal data.

A responsible sales agentFrom persons selling LOTTO products we re-quire extensive industry expertise. Our sales agents are familiar with external law reg-ulations such as the Gaming Act. They al-so undergo internal regulations, procedures and rules such as Customer Service Stand-ards and a Handbook especially meant for LOTTO sales agents and they are obliged to follow them. LOTTO sales agents, as persons who have a direct daily contact with custom-ers, play a key role in promoting appropriate attitudes. They provide information on games rules in a clear and transparent way.

Responsible advertisingOur advertising messages are directed exclu-sively to adults and they send out clear com-munication – the game will ensure great fun but it will not make anybody happier. It is important to emphasise that we do not refer to players’ weaknesses. Employees and ser-vice providers, e.g. advertising agencies, are obliged to respect the principle of responsi-ble communication procedures.

A safe productAll games and lotteries present in the com-pany’s portfolio are verified in terms of so-cial impact using professional tools. Our ac-tivities are intended to protect players in the best possible way and, consequently, they bear hardly any risk. Products are veri-fied, among others, by ASTERiG (a tool to as-sess and measure potential risks of gambling products). The internal procedure adopted in 2015 involves training sessions for dedi-cated employees and tracking the progress through product cards. We check new games and lotteries prior to their implementation, and those already present in the offer are controlled every six months. All products have been verified using a new analytical tool which showed that they are safe for players and stand out positively in compa-rison with other games of chance.

International cooperation and exchange of knowledgeWe are currently preparing for new business challenges. We participate in prestigious and internationally recognised initiatives in the field of corporate social responsibili-ty and responsible gaming. We take part in confe rences that allow the exchange of knowledge with other lotteries. We develop international cooperation through active par-ticipation in the initiatives of two organiza-tions: the European Lotteries and World Lot-tery Association. Both associations promote responsible gaming and implemented certi-fication in this area.

World Lottery Association (WLA) is an or-ganization consisting of lottery companies from all over the world. As part of promotion of corporate social responsibility, WLA intro-duced Responsible Gaming framework. Activ-ities of Totalizator Sportowy in this area were highly valued. Since 2009 we have had the first level of certification, and since 2010 – the third one. In 2013 the company obtained the highest fourth level of WLA Responsible Gaming. More on: www.world-lotteries.org.

European Lotteries (EL) is an indepen dent organization consisting of European lotter-

ies. Members of EL provide resources for public benefit activities and take actions in favour of responsible gaming. The organi-zation promotes sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. It creates a platform for dialogue enabling exchange of knowledge and good practices among its members. May of 2013 was a historic mo-ment for our company – for the first time we received the Responsible Gaming European Lotteries certificate, which is the highest in-ternational distinction of the industry in this area. Wojciech Szpil, the President of Total-izator Sportowy, was a member of the EL Executive Committee in 2013-2015 and the EL Steering Committee in 2014-2015. In ad-dition, he was the chairman of the Knowl-edge and Innovation Committee in 2013-2015 and in 2014-2015 – the chairman of a group coordinating Public Affairs activities. More on: www.european-lotteries.org.

In October 2014 in Gdańsk the European Lotter-ies & World Lottery Association Security Sem-inar was held. It was a debate participated by dozens of specialists representing 21 lottery companies from all over the world. The meet-ing was hosted by Totalizator Sportowy.

Knowledge and academic cooperationFor several years the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation together with professional re-search institutes has been conducting re-search on the risk of addiction to gambling. It has organized some scientific conferenc-es during which representatives of academ-ic and scientific communities could exchange their knowledge and experience in the field of psychotherapy and addiction therapies. The foundation cooperates with leading ex-perts, organizations and institutions from Po-land as well as other countries.

Education of players and their familiesWe have created and developed several communication channels to inform custo-mers how to play in a responsible way. On our foundation website we present a series of educational materials targeted at players and people who are close to them. These data are updated and expanded. All neces-sary information is available on the helpline 0 800 100 800 or the website www.jak gracodpowiedzialnie.pl.

A training project: To prevent match fixingIn 2014 the LOTTO Foundation in cooperation with the Ekstraklasa Foundation, the Minis-

try of Sport and Tourism and the Chief Police Headquarters, organized trainings for young football players aged 15-18 in all Ekstraklasa clubs. The project aimed at preventing cor-ruption in sport.

A contest for the best Master’s thesesIn January 2013 we resolved the contest for the best Master’s thesis on addiction to cash lotteries, announced by the LOTTO Founda-tion. It was the first such competition in Po-land. Its aim was to encourage students from Humanistic Department, who were close to graduation, to broaden knowledge about the prevention of gambling addiction and to con-duct studies dedicated to those who are at risk. The LOTTO Foundation cooperated with well-known psychologists – Ewa Woydyłło (PhD) and Jacek Santorski.

Education of employees and sales agentsWe conduct initial and periodic training ses-sions, including information in the field of re-sponsible gaming and sales, which are meant for employees and sales agents. We develop various training materials. In order to update the knowledge we use different channels – intranet, dedicated websites, the quarter-ly LOTTO Bulletin and printed information. One of the most important is 7 Responsible

Gaming Principles, a guidance for sales agents in their daily work. It recalls the most important issues, such as a ban for playing for persons who are underage. In 2013 more than 18.500 LOTTO employees received cer-tificates on the completion of trainings. Every new employee undergoes a training session concerning CSR and responsible gaming as part of the adaptation process.Since 2012 the LOTTO Million Dreams Foun-dation has been organizing series of train-ings called A Responsible Sales Agent. The project is addressed to natural, legal and net-work sales agents as well as our employees who deal with sales issues. In the three edi-tions of the training we have trained 934 par-ticipants from all branches of the company. Trainings are organized in cooperation with psychologists and provide knowledge on po-tential risks associated with gambling, con-trolled and problematic playing, recognition of symptoms, communication and response to unusual situations. Sales agents are also trained in terms of existing legislation.

The evaluation and incentive system for sales agentsWe have appropriate provisions in contracts and we take into account the area of re-sponsible gaming in regular Mystery Shop-per surveys. The audit conclusions are sent to Customs Office branches. A part of the ex-amination required when applying for a cer-tificate of a LOTTO sales agent concerns the area of responsible gaming.

Safety of LOTTO sales agentsWe care about the physical safety of our sales agents and the safety of the proper-ty in LOTTO outlets. We have best practices in this area. Occupational Health and Safe-ty specialists conduct annual inspections of technical and working conditions in LOTTO outlets as well as sales showrooms. Sales agents receive training in first aid and health and safety at work. They participate in initial and periodic training sessions whereas the extranet and intranet provide them with in-structional videos.

Playing for sports and culture

Totalizator Sportowy is involved in sports and culture in two ways – by passing profits from draw-based game and lottery surcharges to the state budget as well as engaging its own resources. We support sports events which evoke emotions in the whole country. We also sponsor the events of high and popular culture. We are frequently involved in challenging and prestigious projects such as strategic partnerships with a multimedia show of the Lost Museum or patronage of the Ludwig van Beethoven festival. We sponsored the Polish Olympic Team in Sochi and created LOTTO School of Champions – a custom program to support talented athletes. We are proud of our extremely orderly and transparent rules of sponsorship activities performed by the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation. Agnieszka Libor, PR and Communication Director

Totalizator Sportowy plays a key role in the development of the Polish society. We con-tribute to the state budget by paying tax-es and surcharges from LOTTO games. Apart from that, we are engaged in many sports and cultural projects. Additionally, with the help of the LOTTO Million Dreams Founda-tion we conduct our own charity activities, supporting carefully selected national and local initiatives.

Billions of budget revenuesEvery year we pay significant amounts of money in the form of taxes, which then be-come public funds, managed by the state. This is our economic contribution to the de-velopment of Poland.

Surcharges for special funds – sports, culture and healthWe are the only entity on the Polish market whose activity is connected with the legal obligation of donating money to special pur-posed funds, which contribute to the budg-ets of the three Ministries – Sport and Tour-ism, Culture and National Heritage as well as the Ministry of Health. 19 grosz out of every zloty spent on LOTTO products are do-nated to support sports and culture. Finan-cial resources raised in this way are spent on renovation and construction of sports facili-

ties, organizing sport events, trainings and supporting numerous institutions promot-ing physical culture. This money is also used to sponsor many cultural events and health promotion initiatives. Totalizator Sportowy has no influence on the choice of the pur-pose on which these financial resources are allotted.

Sports and culture We have been consistently supporting am-bitious and interesting cultural projects. We also cooperate with well-known cultural in-stitutions and become involved in sports events. We have been the General Sponsor of the Polish Olympic Team for many years.

The LOTTO Million Dreams FoundationEvery year Totalizator Sportowy transfers a donation to the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation. The foundation has orderly prin-ciples of charity, described in publicly avail-able regulations. It reports its activities and expenditure every year. The cooperation be-tween the company and the foundation is based on long-term programs for solving so-cial challenges. We directly support activities related to culture and arts using our own re-sources. It is hard to imagine functioning of this area without the support of Totalizator Sportowy as well as its players. This applies

to both high and universal culture. Every year we support projects of special importance for Polish culture. Here are some examples of our activities:

The 18th Easter Festival of Ludwig van BeethovenTotalizator Sportowy took the patronage of the festival of music created by this ge nius composer, during which we could listen to masterpieces of classical music. The festival brought together the most famous orchestras, chamber groups, European and world solo-ists and conductors. The audience had an op-portunity to listen to masterpieces of classical music. The International Classical Music Award gala was held in Poland for the first time.

The Lost MuseumThe project aims to assist the Ministry of Cul-ture and National Heritage in finding and re-covering lost cultural property. During the Night of Museums both in 2013 and 2014, we could see a multimedia show presenting great works of culture which used to be in Polish collections. Totalizator Sportowy was the Strategic Partner in the reporting period.

The 2014 Fryderyki AwardFor 20 years it has been one of the most im-portant artistic events promoting Polish cul-

ture. The awards are granted by the Pho-nographic Academy, which involves 1,200 artists, phonographic industry professionals and music journalists. Artists, who can pride themselves with contribution to Polish mu-sical culture, are awarded a Golden Fryderyk (among others: Irena Santor, Marek Gre-chuta, Czesław Niemen, Wojciech Kilar). The LOTTO brand was the Main Partner.

The 19th Jazz in the Old Town International Open-Air FestivalArtistic and tourist pride of the capital as well as one of the most popular jazz festi-vals in Poland. For 18 years of its existence it has accumulated over half a million audience and presented premiere or jubilee perfor-mances of the most outstanding Polish art-ists and bands such as Michał Urbaniak, To-masz Stańko, Leszek Możdżer.

The 38th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2013 It gathers the most prominent artists, per-sonalities of the Polish cinema and crowds of audiences. During the festival, the jury chooses our candidates for Oscar awards and grants the Golden Lions – the most important award of the Polish cinema. LOTTO was the Main Partner of the festival.

It is difficult not to appreciate the role of companies involved socially when searching for sources of funding of high culture. Patronage is not the same as sponsorship because it does not end up with seeking mutual benefits but has an element of the mission. For many years this sense of responsibility for national and European heritage has been characterized by a consistent policy of Totalizator Sportowy, which also confirms the creativity of the company. Thanks to the commitment of such companies it is possible to organize great events, promote Polish artists and host outstanding individuals.Elżbieta Penderecka, President of the Ludwig van Beethoven Association

All the events, which are important for the whole country, are important for us, too. Many of them could have been conducted owing to the commitment of our company.

Totalizator Sportowy – a long-term general sponsor of the Polish Olympic Committee Our relationship with the Polish Olympic Committee (POC) and the Olympic idea is not a one-off event but a long-term consistent activity for the development of Polish sports. Sponsorship provides funds for the activi-ties of the POC, including the participation of the Polish Team in the Olympic Games and awarding Olympic medallists, coaches and sports associations. It allows our Polish Team to participate in Youth Olympic Games and European Youth festivals. Owing to the sup-port granted by sponsors, the POC promotes and disseminates sports, combats doping and educates people. We supported Pol-ish athletes during the 22nd Winter Olympic Games. Our Olympians were proud to return to the country with four gold medals, one sil-ver and one bronze.

Support for sport

The LOTTO School of Champions, created by Totalizator Sportowy, is a great initiative which supports the development of young, talented sportspeople and, at the same time, gives the chance to the experienced and successful ones to continue their careers. Within the program, recognized masters can pass on their experience to their successors. This is the only such program in Poland which supports young people who are just beginning their careers, which is so important for the development of Polish sports. I am glad that owing to my knowledge and rich experience, which I have been gathering for many years, I am able to help young apprentices succeed in their lives.Krzysztof Hołowczyc, rally driver

LOTTO Bydgostia In 2014 male and female rowers won seven world and European championship medals in Polish representative teams and for the 22nd time in a row – in the Polish Championships team scoring. We have been supporting By-dgoszcz athletes for more than 20 years.

The LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation

The LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation ful-fils the social mission of Totalizator Spor-towy and performs its operation in a trans-parent and long-term way. Owing to a wide range of projects it reaches various groups of people in need and supports them in dif-ferent life areas. The cooperation between the company and the foundation is based on a long-term program to solve diagnosed social problems. Information about projects run by the LOTTO Foundation can be found at www.fundacjalotto.pl.

Accumulation of activitiesThe biggest project prepared by the founda-tion in the field of sport. Its aim is the sport activation of young junior high school stu-dents while using the experience and au-thority of masters of sport – Olympians and medallists of national and international com-petitions. The implementation of the second edition of the program engaged 70 sports champions who conducted regular sports ac-tivities for 1 600 junior high school students in the whole country.

Scholarship for the best onesIt creates development opportunities for ta-lented athletes who can improve their skills and level of athletic performance, achiev-ing more and more successes in sport. In the 2013 edition of the scholarship program we took care of five young athletes.

Become an OlympianAn educational program conducted in coop-eration with the Polish Olympic team. Their meetings with children and young people take place in the whole country. They are aimed at sport activation by instilling the Olympic idea, developing young participants’ body and spirit and convincing them that they should set goals and consistently try to achieve them.

Sport eventsWe initiate and implement projects to pro-mote amateur sports, healthy lifestyles – particularly among children and adolescents – and to support the development of sport. To increase the efficiency of our activities,

we have been cooperating with the Minis-try of Sport and Tourism as well as the Pol-ish Olympic Committee. We also participate in initiatives of other non-profit organiza-tions which promote physical activity in our society.

1/1 Master and ApprenticePoland’s first mentoring program in the field of culture, which has created an innovative opportunity for ten young artists and culture animators to implement their own artistic or socio-cultural projects under the guidance of well-known and experienced artists. Million adventures with a bookThe project was aimed at increasing book reading among children and adolescents. As part of the program, 100 small public librar-ies received support in the form of increasing their book collections and scenarios for class-es with children and young people.

Cultural projectsThe LOTTO Foundation supports the initiatives of non-profit organizations in the area of pro-moting access to culture and developing ar-tistic talents. Its efforts are aimed at the de-velopment of young artists and facilitating access to culture for everyone, including the

disabled. One example of such efforts is the project of integration workshops for Seneca Foundation’s pupils, which was meant to de-velop artistic talents of children and youth, whereas the 13th National Integration Work-shops helped 300 individuals with intellectu-al disabilities to develop their artistic skills in various fields of art.

PhilanthropyIn August 2013, the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation adopted and announced the principles of philanthropy which define pro-cedures for providing financial and material support. In 2014 the foundation provided fi-nancial support to 58 projects of non-profit organizations.

The patronage over the Helenów CentreHaving a nearly 100-year-old history, the fa-cility specialises in education and rehabil-itation of almost 180 disabled children and young people, who use the comprehensive support. The cooperation with this facility as-sumes providing financial help by the LOTTO foundation, engagement in some activities organized by the Helenów Centre as well as inviting its pupils to participate in specially selected programs and projects implement-ed by the foundation. The partnership aims to overcome social barriers and foster so-cial integration of children from the Helenów Centre.

Owing to the cooperation with our founder -Totalizator Sportowy – we were able to develop programs for solving social challenges which the foundation focuses its activities on. We operate in a coherent and transparent way and our key programs are targeted at specific areas: sports, culture, employee volunteerism, philanthropy and responsible gaming.Bartosz Mielecki, President of the LOTTO Million Dreams Foundation

Professional organization

We give priority to issues of internal codes and labour laws application. Particular attention is paid to practical issues related to equal treatment of workers, working time and preventing mobbing. We also have in mind the balance between private and professional lives. We are in the process of building a new management strategy, based on competence and work performance. Social dialogue is the foundation on which we build our organizational culture. We also enable employees to improve competence through a wide range of development activities. We believe that all these efforts give our employees the sense of stability and security. We believe that all these efforts give our employees the sense of stability and security as the company’s success depends on them.Magdalena Wojciechowska, Director, Personnel Management Department

The starting point in respecting employees’ rights is applicable laws, including the Labour Code. This applies to the principles of equal treatment, prohibition of discrimination re-gardless of age, gender, disability, race, re-ligion, nationality, origin, belief, sexual ori-entation, opinions, trade union membership, form of employment or any other factors. All employees have the right to the same re-muneration for the same work. All of them have comparable access to trainings and pro-motion opportunities. Everyone is subject to procedures corresponding to their work po-sitions and protected against mobbing. Our employees are treated equally in the case of signing or terminating their employment contracts, establishing employment condi-tions, promotion and access to trainings in order to improve their professional qualifica-tions. Our records are impeccable as we have not noted any cases of discrimination, child labour or performing dangerous, forced or compulsory labour by young people.

Management and monitoring of compliance with ethic rulesEthics underlies the operation of our com-pany as well as its employees. There are principles which apply to all workers to the same extent and which they have to follow. Our employees are expected to act respon-sibly in relationships with colleagues, cus-tomers or partners and to respect the law. We enable notification of any violations

and protect the individual who has report-ed them

A good employer and committed employeesOur employees are characterized by respect for the company and pride in its achieve-ments. Real engagement results from the fact that employees with high competenc-es can be certain about their employment. However, that’s not the only reason for their motivation to work. It is necessary to men-tion that our employees are appreciated by their immediate supervisors. We have a lot of experienced specialists, excellent sales agents and reliable leaders. We have been building a professional organization.

Code of good practices The Code defines standards of conduct while performing professional duties. It was devel-oped on the basis of generally accepted prin-ciples and social norms. It applies to all em-ployees, regardless of the form and basis of employment or their positions. The Code is to complement and strengthen procedural prin-ciples defined in legal rules and internal reg-ulations which apply to everyone in the com-pany. It helps to shape appropriate attitudes in business relationships and requires every person employed by the company to achieve its objectives, to share their know ledge and to observe the law. It treats about respect for colleagues and business partners as well as

proper acting in case of a conflict of interest; it sensitizes to the issues of diversity, prohib-its mobbing, harassment and corruption. It also mentions the protection of classified in-formation and respect for the environment. It regulates relationships with customers and other stakeholders.

The anti-mobbing procedureSafe working environment is an important value to all of us. In 2014 we introduced an internal regulation concerning the prevention of mobbing. It has primarily a preventive val-ue and thanks to it we eliminate undesirable behaviours. The procedure suggests ways of dealing with difficult situations at work and resolving disputes. Its introduction increas-es the possibility of obtaining assistance and sheds light on behaviours that are not al-lowed.

The Charter of Diversity The Charter is a written declaration of an employer prohibiting discrimination in the workplace. This is also a commitment to take action to create and promote diversity. It expresses the willingness of the company to engage all the employees and business partners in these activities. We appreciate and use the potential of diversity. Totaliza-tor Sportowy is among the first signatories of the Charter in Poland. In 2013 Totalizator Sportowy participated in creating the first guide to the Charter of Diversity which pro-vides practical guidance on managing diver-sity in the workplace, numerous opinions, comments and good practices of companies – signatories to the Charter of Diversity

The OHS Committee The OHS Committee consists of an equal number of representatives of the employ-er and trade unions and represents all the employees in the company. The CLA con-tains OHS provisions which refer to promot-ing standards and providing employees with personal protective equipment.

EmploymentBy the end of 2014 the number of our em-ployees equalled 1094 whereas the year before – 960. According to data from 2014, more than 80 per cent of our employees are employed under the contract of indefinite duration, whereas only 20 per cent under the contract of fixed-term, replacement or trial period. These proportions indicate that as an employer, we invest in human capital, focus on employee potential and build long-term relationships with them.

Average employment durationThe average employment duration in our company is 9 years. This number indicates that employees evaluate working in Totali-zator Sportowy in a positive way, they asso-ciate their future career with it and they see opportunities of development. By the end of 2014, we had 27 employees with job expe-rience of over 30 years. The stability of em-ployment is also reflected by a low rate of employee fluctuation.

Employees’ representativesThere are three trade unions and the Em-ployee Council elected by the employees. In practice, Totalizator Sportowy provides an opportunity to discuss in advance significant operational changes in the company and the possibility of engaging its employees and representatives in negotiating and imple-menting changes which may result in con-sequences for people employed there. CLA provisions are more favourable for employ-ees than the general provisions guaranteed by the Labour Code. Effective and timely con-sultations with employees and stakeholders help to minimise adverse impacts of opera-tional changes on workers and local commu-nities.Employees and their representatives are informed about significant operational changes a certain pe-riod of time in advance, which is specified by the Labour Code, the Act of 2006 on providing infor-mation and conducting consultations with employ-ees as well as the Company Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Additional benefits for employeesOur employees, regardless of working time, are offered attractive fringe benefits.

The Company Social Benefits Fund. The possibility of obtaining financing of holiday, special-purpose loan, allowances, gift vouchers. The Fund is also available to LOTTO sales agents;

Awards and bonuses. The thirteenth salary, profit bonuses, quarterly bonuses, higher post-employment benefits;

Medical care. A rich package of services reimbursed by the company;

A multisport card. Financed by the Company Social Benefits Fund, with the possibility of joining the program after three months of employment;

Additional retirements benefits. The Employee Pension Plan, which is part of the retirement income security system, has been operating since 2012. It can be joined by any worker employed under a contract of employment, who is below 70 years of age and who has worked in the company for not less than three months;

Life insurance. The possibility of participating in a group insurance by an individual, also for sales agents, without the possibility of reimbursement by the employer;

Longer special leaves and leaves for jobseekers.

A good employer The Collective Labour AgreementAt the end of 2014 the number of employ-ees covered by the Collective Labour Agree-ment (CLA) equalled 1094 persons (100 per-cent.). Employees of OWS in Krynica (Holiday and Training Centre) and the Management Board are covered by these provisions on-ly partially. The CLA also gives privileges to sales agents who have signed mandatory contracts. The CLA was concluded between the employer and the Joint Representation of Trade Unions in 1998 and it outlines de-tailed employment, remuneration and bonus conditions as well as mutual obligations of the employer and employees. It ensures em-ployees and sales agents the feeling of pro-fessional stability, motivates them to achieve company objectives and reinforces the mu-tual trust.

ParenthoodFemale employees do not feel threatened with the perspective of losing their jobs once they decide to have children. The employ-er introduces a safe solution in the form of employing another person for replacement. Our female employees eagerly use the pa-rental leave and we have never noted any cases of losing jobs by them after they re-turn to work.

EthicsIn the reporting period we did not note any cases of corruption. We have appropriate in-ternal regulations regarding anti-corruption policies and procedures and, in this respect, we follow legal rules. There are mechanisms enabling the company to obtain advice re-garding ethical and legal acting as well as signalling unethical behaviours. If employ-ees need any advice, they can obtain it from their supervisors but in more complicated ethical issues they must contact the Legal Office. There is an e-mail address to which everyone can report cases of non-compli-ance with the Code of Conduct. There have been no cases of non-compliance with laws or regulations concerning the provision and use of products.

ComplianceCompliance cultureWith the development of our organization, but also an increasing number of legal, eth-ical and professional requirements, there is a need to manage the process of compliance. The compliance system, which has been built in Totalizator Sportowy, aims at ensuring the compliance of our company with relevant regulations and requirements. It promotes ethical attitudes among our employees, builds up the culture of trust and transpa-rency. While designing it we relied on the ISO 19600, which regulates the compliance func-tion in enterprises.

Security of informationThe Management Board’s Proxy for the Infor-mation Security Management System takes care of the security of information in our company. We rely on the principles for han-dling groups of information, security risk as-sessment methodology, measures and rules for managing permissions and incidents. We conduct internal audits and procedures to correct or prevent certain actions. In 2014 we introduced the PN-ISO/IEC 27001:2005 in-formation security management system in terms of organising and conducting of draw-based games and cash lotteries as well as the WLA Security Control Standard: The WLA-SCS: 2012 operational standards of safety and integrity of gaming and lotteries. In 2015 we plan to adapt the information security man-agement system to the requirements of the new standard of the PN-ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

Compliance means acting according to the law and ethical standards. As part of the development of this function and at the same time – compliance culture – from mid-2015 we will publish “Legal Alert”, monthly internal newsletters. They inform our employees about the most important legal changes that may have an impact on our work.Hubert Banasiak, Director of the Legal Service Office

Corporate volunteering programThe LOTTO Million Dream Foundation arrang-es the corporate volunteering program. Vol-unteers have the possibility of initiating so-cial activities in their neighbourhood. The foundation awards grants necessary to con-duct various activities and provides substan-tive support. Such projects involve not only our employees but also sales agents from LOTTO outlets, who are often supported and accompanied by their families and friends.

The 6th edition of “The Goodwill Accumulation”The volunteer program is constantly devel-oping and its latest edition has enjoyed the

greatest interest so far. During the sixth edi-tion the foundation trained leaders in the field of project management, preparation of the event and clearance of the awarded co-financing. Volunteers helped 3215 recipi-ents, that is, school children, pre-schoolers, children from orphanages, the disabled, sen-iors, children from poor and large families, siblings of young patients, as well as resi-dents of villages and towns. Owing to pro-jects conducted in local communities volun-teers could not only build playgrounds and sports fields but also renovate gyms, kinder-garten rooms as well as a bridge over the river. There were cultural and sports events, family picnics and excursions. Young people could learn how to behave on the road, pro-vide first aid or find themselves on the la-bour market. They also found out a lot about the world of nature, physics and chemistry.

Evaluation studiesA research conducted after the sixth edition of the program showed that the activity of volun-teers had solved many problems of local com-munities. 100 per cent of supported organi-sations admitted the campaign responded to their needs. Projects conducted by volunteers also had a positive influence on the integra-tion of teams of employees and their commu-nication, which was confirmed by 93 and 83 per cent respectively. The program gave them the satisfaction of helping others (99 per cent.). Therefore, a high percentage the surveyed em-ployees declared their willingness to partici-pate in next voluntary projects (98 per cent).

Corporate volunteering

We change things togetherThe contest announced by the Chairman of the Board is to promote innovative ideas, to implement improvements and harmonise standards. It enables the implementation of employees’ ideas in any thematic category and makes it easier to introduce changes in-itiated by them. That way every employee is given an opportunity to distinguish them-selves. Winners receive cash prizes.

LOTTO SpartakiadIn May 2014 we organized the first LOTTO Spartakiad – a free sport and recreation event for our employees. There were 49 competitions which ended up with prizes for the most active participants who participat-ed in: team games, water sports, outdoor activities as well as intellectual and precise competitions. The meeting was attended by 350 people. It is held on a regular basis.

A Children’s DayEvery year on the Służewiec Horse Racetrack we organise a Children’s Day for children of our employees with numerous attractions and prizes. The event is attended by approxi-mately 500 people, also by pupils and pa-tients from the Helenów centre and other in-stitutions

Natural environmentWe have been creating environmental-ly friendly attitudes among our employees and customers. Scratchcards and lottery tick-ets are made of ecological paper and ink. In previous years, we conducted education-al campaigns, sensitizing our customers and employees to the issues connected with en-vironmental protection including recycling, eco-driving, reducing energy consumption and amount of waste. We have also tried to introduce monitoring in this regard.

We support local environmental initia-tives conducted by our employees with-in corporate volunteering. An example of such activities can be the project entitled “Appreciate the beauty of the natural envi-ronment” carried out by young volunteers from our Poznań branch who were educat-ing pre-schoolers, school students and even 150 adult residents of Żabno about how to stay eco-friendly. They were involved in pre-paring tree seedlings and planting them in the school yard, organising contests and the collection of recyclable materials as well as their segregation. The “Clean environment is a resort” project was to involve Brodnica residents in creating beautiful and green sur-roundings. LOTTO volunteers cleaned up the area of the village, planted trees and flowers and also arranged flowerbeds.

Trainees: Win an internshipIn recent years we enabled 10 students to participate in summer holiday paid intern-ships in selected departments of our com-pany. Such internships increase the compet-itiveness of graduates in the labour market, allowing them to gain experience in busi-ness conditions. The program has been con-ducted for many years in cooperation with PwC and Gazeta Wyborcza. The number of applications proved that students and grad-uates were interested in our company. Candi-dates had to solve contest tasks, on the ba-sis of which we selected the winners who were given the opportunity to learn the prin-ciples of working in a professional organiza-tion, establish professional contacts, receive professional support and to find out about their strengths and weaknesses. For three of them summer holiday internship resulted in permanent jobs in our company.
