Playwin has always recognized the responsibility corporate should have towards the wider communities they operate in. It gives its

conscientious support to a noble cause by constantly providing its helping hand. In keeping its endeavor to give back to the society, Playwin

foundation, the social wing of Playwin has undertaken following noble initiatives:-

The Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation

• The Foundation is a charitable trust that initiates, supports, and runs non-formal one-teacher schools (popularly known as Ekal Vidyalayas) all over the country. With the participation of numerous non-profit trusts and organizations, program has now become the greatest non-governmental education movement in the country. The objective is fulfilling the social responsibility of the company by supporting and encouraging the underprivileged sections of society. In a short span of time, the Foundation has implemented numerous projects in its chosen areas. Through constant efforts Playwin seeks to reach out to the underprivileged sections of society and has supported various social causes till date.

Association with Akanksha Foundation:

• The objective was to support two centers run by Akansha Foundation. These centers are engaged in uplifting of underprivileged kids. Akanksha began with a simple idea to provide education to thousand of slum children set up school and shelters which provide education to slum children. This helps in regenerating the community in which these children reside as the knowledge they gain in the process can be used to upgrade their lives. Playwin has associated with Akanksha by supporting its two center-schools for the children living in the slums.

1298 Dial for Ambulance

• 1298 Dial for Ambulance is an “Ambulance Access for all” initiative by Playwin to provide a network of fully equipped advanced and Basic Life support ambulances in the city of Mumbai. In case of a medical resident it provides access to a fully equipped Advanced life support (ALS) Ambulance within the shortest possible time.

• It is an organization working towards saving lives by increasing the importance of Emergency Medical Services to the general public, medical fraternity, hospital staff, pharma industry, corporate sector student community and the NGO network.

Sponsorship for Madhevi Pardeshi

• Playwin foundation sponsored 22 year old Madhevi Pardeshi who was selected for the ‘Junior Asian Power Lifting Championship’ in South Korea. Responding to her letter, Playwin foundation sponsored her for a trip to the games in South Korea, held from 1st to 5th May 2006. She not only won the gold medal but also brought laurels to country. We are proud to sponsor a champion like her.

Blood Donation Camp: Puja Parikrama

• Playwin was proud to be associated with a social programme held at North Kolkata on 9th Oct 2005 named a Puja Parikrama, organized by ‘Kolkata Blood Donor’s Forum’. Around 200 physically challenged street children from diseases like hemophilia and thalasaemia joined this unique Puja Parikrama.The children aged between 8 and 13 years also selected the best among 20 short listed pandals. The aim was not merely to offer a day of joy to these children but to endow them a responsibility.

Aksharadasoha

• In partnership with Government of Karnataka, Playwin pledged support to Aksharadasoha, a mid-day meal scheme for children up to class V in all Government schools in the state. Funded by the Government of Karnataka’s on-line lottery sale, scheme bears testimony to Karnataka’s on-line lottery sale and our commitment towards social development, through education.

EYE- Checkup camp

• Playwin supported an eye checkup camp organized by the Rotary Club of Kolkata Green, for the needy of South 24 Parganas. The hundreds of residents made good use of the camp. The second event sponsored was a Jagjit Singh concert held in Mumbai. The event was a fund raise activity organized by Chip (Children in Pain) an NGO. The proceeds of the concert went towards restoring and providing basic amenities for a school for the underprivileged children in Oshiwara, Mumbai.

Sahanubhuti (A society for caring for the uncared)

• Playwin has sponsored Rs.8 lakhs for Sahanubhuti fund raising event “Umeed” featuring Jagjit Singh & Ghulam Ali. Sahanubhuti is the NGO working for poor handicap and mentally challenged children and also helping poor meritorious students of remote village. It aimed to create awareness for the cause

Adoption and Child Welfare

• Playwin Foundation is on continuous run for social development. Foundation extended it’s commitment to support the Indian Association for promotion of Adoption and Child Welfare. Its new campaign was released in major dailies across the country. The campaign aimed at increasing adoption awareness among the masses. It was well received and appreciated by the readers.

Vanashri Foundation

• Playwin Foundation has also joined hands with Vanashri Foundation, NGO working specifically in the environment and related development issues in Aurangabad. On this occasion, Playwin Foundation

distributed umbrellas to Vanashri Foundation volunteers.

Pune Traffic Police

• Playwin has also supported Pune Traffic Police in improving the quality of working hours of Pune Traffic Police. On this occasion Playwin foundation distributed umbrellas to the Pune Police Commissioner at his office in Pune.

Playwin Junior Football Championship

• Playwin promoted football game across the nation and organised hunt for new breed of football talent to start football academy & Community football club. All over India eight cities participated: Delhi, Chandigarth, Cochin, Calcutta, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Goa. The final event was held in Mumbai & winning

team was from West Bengal.

Aids awareness campaign

• On World AIDS day 2007, Playwin released ad in various news paper. The objective of this

• communication was to protect individuals from AIDS.

Sponsorship for School toilet construction

• Playwin Foundation has contributed Rs. 50,000/- to build a toilet for the Primary school of Kulur village located in Manglore district of Karnataka state. • No Photo Available

Support to Deaf Foundation

• Playwin Foundation was actively involved in spreading awareness of deaf people problems and promoting their rehabilitation.


Association with SSRVM- Dharavi School Project • Playwin Foundation has joined hands with SSRVM School,

the educational wing of Art of Living. This school works specifically towards the vision of providing stress-free education that enables the students to blossom to their fullest potential which broadens the vision and strengthens the roots. Playwin Foundation handed over a contributory cheque to SSRVM School Dignitaries at Dharavi SSRVM

Association with Public Concern for Governance Trust

• Playwin Foundation has associated with Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) as a main sponsor of “Vigilance Awareness Week”

• The mission of PCGT trust is to make India a value based, equitable, corruption free and compassionate society.

• PCGT fought against the construction of a mammoth commercial complex in the heart of large scale illegal land allotments at Navi Mumbai

through Public Interest Litigations.
