RECURRING ANNOUNCEMENTS FROG (Fully Rely On God) CAFÉ: Every Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to just before church starts, come in, say hello, meet some new friends, catch up with some old friends and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate along with a sweet that has been provided by someone special that week. If you would like to bring a treat, just let Pam or Russ Miceli know. We would love that! Hope to see you there! PRAYER IN THE CHAPEL: Prayer time in the Chapel has started again. If you would like to join Pastor Brian to pray for the worship service, be ready at 9:15 a.m., sit in the front pews of the Chapel. WORSHIP OPTIONS: Worship Services are also Livestreamed. GROCERY GIFT CARDS for Giant and Weis are available to purchase in the FROG Café Sunday mornings before and after the worship service. SOUP LABELS, BOX TOPS, POSTAGE STAMPS: We are no longer collecting the Campbell’s Soup Labels, Box Tops and Postage Stamps. Thank you for your support in collecting these items in the past. COLLECTION BINS FOR FOOD BANK & NEW LIFE: The bins have been relocated to the area under the coat rack next to the drinking fountain in the Sunday school hallway. ALTAR FLOWERS FOR 2021: There are plenty of open dates to place flowers on the altar for 2021. Check out the calendar and fill out a “Reservations for Altar Flowers” form (more info is on this form) and place it in the “completed forms” envelope or call 717-653-5683. ACOLYTES NEEDED! We are looking for children (8 or 9 years old and older), youth, and adults who would be interested in serving as an acolyte. Contact Patty Jo McKee (717-371-3234). CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUP: A reminder…and for our guests…the Children’s Playgroup is for children Pre-school up to 5th grade. They are dismissed after the Children’s Message. MOUNT JOY CAR SHOW Mount Joy’s Car Show is next Saturday, July 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Glossbrenner’s group will be located in the parking lot of Paula’s School of Baton (cattycorner from the Post Office). Come out and check out the cars (old and new) and get something good to eat from vendors who will be set up along Main Street!

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

JULY TRUSTEE: If you notice something that should be taken care of by the trustees in July, please contact Vaughn Nissley at 717-517-1323.

TRUSTEE NEEDED: There is an opening for a trustee on the Board of Trustees. Please see Jim Miller or Mark Myers.

MOWING/WEEDING: The trustees are looking for volunteers to mow the grass and to weed the flower beds at the church. If you see an area that could use some TLC just come out and weed whenever you can - as often as you can! Contact Mark Myers if you have any questions.

NEEDED FOR VBS

For the crafts we need: toilet paper rolls, green stock and/or green construction paper, caps from laundry detergent bottles, plastic lids – Pringle can size or slightly larger. Give items to Maribeth King or Jess Rockey.

Our VBS is in need of funds for our snack station. The best way to make a donation is with a Giant gift card. You can buy them from the Koinonia class – thus extra support for our church! Please give the gift cards to Pam Miceli, our snack coordinator. Thanks in advance! Jess Rockey

RAINBOW’S END YOUTH SERVICES REYS Youth Center is hosting the Annual “Back-packs to School” drive. Supplies needed are: High School Backpacks, Spiral Notebooks (College-Ruled), Composition Books, Pocket Folders, 1” to 3” Binders, Colored Pencils, Colored Markers, Box of 24 Crayons. A box marked “REYS” has been placed in the Narthex for your donations (July 25 deadline) or you can drop off your donations at REYS Youth Center by July 31st. Items will be distributed to students in need during the month of August. MUSIC REHEARSALS Martin Hinkley is planning to return in September, therefore the adult choir and the bell choir will begin rehearsing the first Wednesday in September. More details will be forthcoming.

MEN’S SUMMER PICNIC – SAVE THE DATE! The Men’s annual picnic at Wayne and Deb Kennedy’s home is Sunday, August 22. We will gather at approximately 2:00 p.m. and begin eating at 4:00 p.m. Please bring a hot or cold dish to share. Hot dogs and drink will be provided. If you need directions to the Kennedy’s, please call Wayne at 717-653-8512. All men – young and “young at heart” are invited.

ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD The Administrative Board will meet Thursday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Spiritual Java classroom. All are encouraged to attend – board and non-board members as well.

MYSTERY LUNCHEON We are excited to again be able to have a luncheon open to everyone. We will be having a luncheon on August 15 after church to celebrate Mystery Island VBS.
