POWER COMMANDER V INPUT ACCESSORY GUIDE

Map - (Input1or2)ThePCVhastheabilitytohold2differentbasemaps.YoucanswitchontheflybetweenthesetwobasemapswhenyouhookupaswitchtotheMAPinputs.Youcanuseanyopen/closetypeswitch.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.WhenusingtheAutotunekitonepositionwillholdabasemapandtheotherpositionwillletyouactivatethelearningmode.Whentheswitchis“CLOSED”Autotunewillbeactivated.

Shifter- (Input1or2)TheseinputsareforusewiththeDynojetquickshifter.InsertthewiresfromtheDynojetquickshifterintotheSHIFTERinputs.Thepolarityofthewiresisnotimportant.

Speed- Ifyourapplicationhasaspeedsensorthenyoucantapintothesignalsideofthesensorandrunawireintothisinput.ThiswillallowyoutocalculategearpositionintheControlCenterSoftware.Oncegearpositionissetupyoucanalteryourmapbasedongearpositionandsetupgeardependentkilltimeswhenusingaquickshifter.

Analog- Thisinputisfora0-5vsignalsuchasenginetemp,boost,etc.Oncethisinputisestablishedyoucanalteryourfuelcurvebasedonthisinputinthecontrolcentersoftware.

Crank- DoNOTconnectanythingtothisportunlessinstructedtodosobyDynojet.Itisusedtotransfercranktriggerdatafromonemoduletoanother.

ACCESSORY INPUTS

Wire connections:

ToinputwiresintothePCVfirstremovetherubberplugonthebacksideoftheunitandloosenthescrewforthecorrespondinginput.Usinga22-24gaugewirestripabout10mmfromitsend.PushthewireintotheholeofthePCVuntilisstopsandthentightenthescrew.Makesuretoreinstalltherubberplug.

NOTE:Ifyoutinthewireswithsolderitwillmakeinsertingthemeasier.

1 Removethefollowing:

-Seat -Battery

-Uppersidefairings -Airbox

-Middlecover -LowerFairings

2 Unplugthestockwiringharnessfrombothfuelinjectors(Fig.B)

3 LaythePCVnearthefuelpump(underseat)temporarily.

4 RoutethePCVharnessalongtherighthandsideofthebikeandgotowardsthethrottlebodies.

5 PlugthePCVharnessin-lineofthestockwiringharnessandbothfuelinjectors(Fig.C).

The pair of PCV leads with ORANGE colored wires go in-line of the cylinder #1 (left) fuel injector.

The pair of PCV leads with YELLOW colored wires go in-line of the cylinder #2 (right) fuel injector.

6 UnplugthestockwiringharnessfromtheThrottlePositionSensor(Fig.D).

This connector is located on the right hand side of the throttle bodies.

7 PlugthePCVharnessin-lineofthestockwiringharnessandtheThrottlePositionSensor(Fig.E).

8 Reinstalltheairbox.

9 Reinstallthebattery.AttachthegroundwireofthePCVwiththesmallringlugtothenegative(-)terminalofthebike’sbattery(Fig.F).

10 DisconnectthestockO2sensorfromthemainwiringharness(Fig.G).

This connection is located behind the ECM. Unplugging the wiring harness from the ECM will make this easier.

The stock O2 sensor will no longer be connected. The sensor can be removed from the exhaust if desired and if you have a way to plug the hole in the exhaust.

11 InstallthePCVundertheseatusingthesuppliedVelcro

Make sure to clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching.

12 Reinstallallofthebodyworkandtheseat.

Make sure that all connections are secure before starting the motorcycle.

Note: This unit comes shipped with a stock map for an ST model. If this does not match your setup, you can download more maps from our website (www.powercommander.com).
