Worship Helpers for 10:30 Service
You can sign up online to serve as an usher, reader, or acolyte in 10:30am worship, or to acolyte in 9:00am worship. Simply follow the link on the church website. Please recycle this bulletin.
Electronic Giving For your convenience, you can give automatically, and there is no cost for you to participate. Electronic giving means 52 checks that you don’t have to write, plus a consistent income stream for the church. Even if you miss worship because of travel, illness or other circumstances, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis. To get started, visit the church website, scan the QR code, or contact Dee at [email protected]
Special Music Anyone is welcome to sign up for Summer Special Music. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside of the choir room.
Meeting Cancellations? Please contact Amy Woodworth at [email protected] and let her know about any time change or cancellation of meetings or events. Don’t forget to include the originally scheduled date and time. This is particularly important if the doors have been programmed to unlock automatically. Thanks!
Prayer Requests Just a reminder, in order for names to be printed on the prayer list, the permission box needs to be marked on the tear-away. If the box isn’t marked, it is considered confidential and will be included in the staff’s personal time of prayer.
Get ready for Upgrade & Invade on Sunday, August 20th! At 9:00am, all children, youth and parents will meet in the gym to celebrate the beginning of a new school year. Children will “Upgrade” in KidsGrow and 6th graders will “Invade” the youth! After the celebration in the gym, we’ll continue with a special
breakfast in Fellowship Hall! Everyone is invited and it will also be an opportunity to give a special thank you to KidMin volunteers that have helped the children grow in faith during VBS, KidsGrow and KidServe all year.
Hope Chest School Supply Drive for July and August
Once again we are collecting school supplies for the children of our Hope Chest Families. Please place your items in the "Little Red School House" in the Coffee Area. List of things needed are: 24 count crayons, 10 thick markers, 10 count colored pencils, pencils, folders, reams of notebook paper, glue bottles, glue sticks, single subject spirals, scissors—blunt & sharp.
Beyond the Book Club We have interesting books to read and discuss and have a lot of fun attending book signings or just visiting with each other. We meet the 4th Wednesday evening of month (August through June) at 7:00 p.m. in room 12. We welcome new members and would love to meet you this August 22 at 7:00 pm. The book for August is “The Whistler” by John Grisham. If you have questions or need a ride call Ginny Miller, 913-492-4639 or Nancy Meeks, 913-387-4032.
Upper Room devotionals for July
and August are available at the
church entrances.
