When viewed in Isometric the UCS icon displays as a three dimensional icon.

Selecting from the VIEW Toolbar icon Top changes the view to the normal TOP VIEW.

The UCS Icon can be changed or turned OFF at any time by selecting View, DISPLAY,UCSICON, PROPERRTIES from the Pull-Down Menu Bar

When Properties is selected a DIALOG box will appear.

Selecting the 2D Radial Buttonwill change the UCS Icon to the one in the preview window.

FEATURES WHEN WORKING WITH THE UCSICON.

The slide shows an extruded cube.

Notice the shorten Graphics Cursor (shorten

for clarity) and the drawing display

is in Isometric.

The Cube appears as if it were made of glass being

able to see through the cube to sharp edges

representing the edges of the cube.

Selecting an Icon from the VISUAL STLYES

Toolbar will change the look of the cube in a

different way.

Selecting 3D HIDDEN VISUAL STYLE Icon from the VISUAL STYLES TOOL BAR

Selecting the 3D HIDDEN VISUAL STYLE Icon will display the cube as

shown.

See how the sharp edges have disappeared.

Notice also how the UCS Icon has changed to

indicate that you have entered into a Shade Mode.

It is suggested NOT to continue to work when in this MODE or any other Visual Style Mode that

displays a colorful UCS Icon .

Instead, select the first of the icons on the Visual

Style Toolbar to return to a normal UCS Display.

Selecting the REALISTIC VISUAL STYLE icon from the Visual Styles Toolbar will display the

cube as shown.

Regardless of the objects color this mode will

display the color drawn.

Notice the USC Icon in COLOR indicating that the drawing display is in

the Shade Mode

Selecting the CONCEPTUAL VISUAL

STYLE icon from the Visual Styles Toolbar will display the cube as

shown.

The edges of the object are highlighted and the

Surfaces are shown differently.

Notice the USC Icon is in COLOR indicating that

the drawing display is in Shade Mode

Lets now demonstrate another examples of

selecting Drawing Display Modes using the cube by first changing its color

and then displaying the cube in several VISUAL STYLE

MODES

Move the Cursor and touch an edge of the cube.

The cube is now selected.Notice how the object changes in its look to

indicate that it has been selected.

Move the cursor to the COLOR pull-down menu

portion in the PROPERTIES Toolbar and DRAG the Arrow

Cursor to the color Magenta.

Use the ESC Key on the keyboard to de-select the

object after it changes color.

The cursor size is being shown 100% for this

slide.

The Cursor size will be made smaller by selecting

from the Menu Bar the TOOLS pull-down menu

and then OPTIONS which will display the OPTIONS DIALOG
