Below is a short description of the same DOC Types Create Doc Types 1. IPT for Inventor Part. 2. IAM for Inventor Assembly 3. IDW for inventor drawing. Number scheme for Doc Types External Numbering (in CAD desktop customizing customize to map DIR number as one of the file properties from inventor file) Versioning scheme use 00 to 99 Set Laboffice, Doc status, person responsible, and description are the required fields. CAD indicator display only field. Doc status Create life cycle as below Set it in such a way that when you check out from DC file should automatically move to IW and when you check in at IW status should automatically move to DC (this should happen in CAD Desktop).
