IoT2cell consists of a server and an app.

IoT2cell Server

IoT cloud applications and public facing apps communicate with the IoT2cell server to request its services. Using a flexible “connector” architecture it aggregates information from various sources and presents it as “augmented” information to the end users on their mobile platforms. It also sports one of the most powerful location based services engines anywhere.

IoT2cell App

Its object oriented map based user interface is ideally suited for the highly mobile IoT environment. Augmented information from multiple sources is seamlessly integrated into a single environment. An applet based UI provides unlimited extensibility and ease of use.

Typically, your cloud IoT application communicates with the IoT2cell server through simple messaging. When IoT2cell receives these messages, such as predictions, it translates them into tasks and distributes to the appropriate fulfillers. The augmented information needed to fulfill those tasks are also provided.

Public facing apps can also connect to the IoT2cell server for bidirectional collaboration.

IoT2cell can be a fully self-contained system even without IoTs. No matter how pervasive the IoTs are, they cannot detect everything. For these situations the IoT2cell app contains a manual reporting feature. If there is no IoT to detect a pump failure, the operator can manually schedule the task to fix it. Just tap on the pump icon on the map and select the task to “Fix.” IoT2cell will make sure a mechanic will show up.

Mobilizing your workforce even without IoTs has enormous benefits. Take the case of a pipeline. When a worker sees a leak, they would use IoT2cell to report the problem, which initiates the response to it. The organization benefits from the improved response capabilities that mobilization offers.

As segments of the pipeline are “iotized,” they can be seamlessly integrated into the system and correspondingly reduce the cost and need for manual monitoring and intervention.

IoT2cell supports a powerful location-based services engine. Real time locations of vehicles, people, drones and other mobile objects can be shown on its map based user interface. Its UI organizes information based on proximity. In many cases this is a better way of accessing relevant information.

IoT2cell also supports proximity or location based notifications. If you are trying to locate a particular object you can ask to be notified when you are within a specified distance. Once you are within range you can use the augmented reality object finder feature as a further aid.

ESRI Maps

IoT2cell supports multiple ESRI maps that can be dynamically loaded into their phones or tablets on an as needed basis. For example, in the case of a pipeline leak, a map of the pipeline can be loaded. This map could show nearest shutoff valves, underground and aboveground sections, etc.
