• Create a campfire without matches, cook locally sourced, reared and prepared sausages for a tasty lunch.

• Enjoy an out-door learning experience with one of our talented tree experts. Which tree is which, what the forest needs to thrive as an independent eco-system, through all the Seasons. Mixed deciduous and conifer woodland and a stream.

• In the workshop you could come on a Sussex trug making day, make a wooden bowl or spoon with simple hand tools, create a unique thumb or walking stick from materials found in the wood, or learn the ancient and mysterious art of charcoal making. As well as chain saw training and felling small trees.

• Or simply a moment of reflection and contemplation listening to the birds.

• Hold your, seminar, wedding reception, celebration or craft day in the award winning Woodland Enterprise Centre building constructed about ten years ago from timber harvested in the South East, including locally grown chestnut coppice. Separate training room available in the beautiful workshop. All with free wi-fi. Lunch, snacks and drinks can be provided or you are welcome to make your own catering arrangements.

Lodgefield Wood Flimwell is home for Plumpton College at Flimwell, The Woodland Enterprise Centre.
