By Michael Frayn

With breakneck pace and a rich gallery of characters, Michael Frayn's brilliantly wi y farce follows the on- and off -stage antics of a mediocre touring company as they stumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of their comedy play, Nothing On. In this play-within-a-play, absolutely everything that can go wrong does. The cast members desperately try to maintain composure and resort to sabotaging their fellow actors, resulting in a terrifying descent into hilarious chaos. Missed cues, broken backstage romances and a very slippery plate of sardines all come together to create this riotous, madcap comedy that will get everyone caught in the act! The New York Times critic Frank Rich called this "the funniest play wri en in my lifetime." If you enjoy a good laugh, Noises Off is defi nitely the play for you!

This play contains adult humor.

Book and Lyrics by Marsha NormanMusic by Lucy Simon Based on the 1911 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burne

Perfect for the entire family, this enchanting children’s literature classic has been re-imagined in a brilliant musicalization. The story is set in the early years of the 20th century. Orphaned in India, 11-year old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embi ered, reclusive uncle Archibald, whom she has never met. While living with him, she discovers the existence of Archibald’s invalid son, Colin, and the two become fast friends. Arhibald’s estate holds many wonders, including a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies, and the “Dreamers,” spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life. This haunting score includes such beautiful songs as Hold On, Lily’s Eyes, and Winter’s On The Wing. This show will be one to touch your hearts.

SEPTEMBER 14 – OCTOBER 7Friday & Saturday: 8:00 pm • Sunday: 2:00 pm

Special Engagement: Sunday, September 30 • 7:00 pm

Music, Lyrics and Book by Rupert HolmesOriginal Broadway production produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival and Joseph Papp, Producer

This wildly warm-hearted theatrical experience kicks off when the Music Hall Royale (a hilariously loony Victorian musical troupe) "puts on" its fl amboyant rendition of an unfi nished Charles Dickens mystery. The story itself deals with John Jasper, a Jekyll-and-Hyde choirmaster who is quite madly in love with his music student, the fair Miss Rosa Bud. Miss Bud, in turn, is engaged to Jasper's nephew, young Edwin Drood. Things really start to get interesting when our title character mysteriously disappears one stormy Christmas Eve. This seems suspicious and the signs point to foul play, but has Edwin Drood actually been murdered? And if so, then who’s the culprit? Musical numbers include The Wage of Sin, Perfect Strangers, Both Sides of the Coin, Don't Quit While You're Ahead and Moonfall. The giddy playfulness of this play-within-a-play draws the audience toward one of Drood’s most talked-about features, in which the audience is asked to vote on one of seven possible solutions as prelude to the most unusual and hilarious fi nale!

This show is a musical murder mystery.

Book by Jo Swerling and Abe BurrowsMusic and Lyrics by Frank Loesser Based on The Idyll of Sarah Brown and other characters by Damon Runyon

We are proud to end our sixth Mainstage Season with one of the most classic musical comedies ever created! Set in Damon Runyon’s New York City, this oddball romantic comedy soars with the true spirit of Broadway. We’re introduced to Nathan Detroit, who is running his famous crap game in the streets of New York; his fi ancée, Miss Adelaide, the perpetually ill nightclub performer who just wants to get married; Sarah Brown, the sweet missionary out to reform the “evil doers” of Times Square and gets tangled up with everyone; and Sky Masterson, the suave high roller who falls hard for Sarah. Featuring classic songs such as Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat, I’ll Know, Sue Me, Guys and Dolls and, of course, Luck Be A Lady, we can think of no be er way to complete our sixth Season here at the Broadway than with this spectacular show. Winner of numerous Tony, Theatre World, Drama Desk, Olivier and Helpmann Awards, this is a treat for audiences of all ages.

This musical comedy is suitable for all audiences.
