MAKING THE MOST OF SOCIAL SECURITYOne of the most important decisions you need to make before you retire is when to claim Social Security benefits. About half of the retirees apply for Social Security as soon as they become eligible at age 62.1, but by doing so, they may significantly and permanently reduce the benefits that they and possibly their spouses could receive over a lifetime. Whether you’re single, married, divorced, or widowed, there may be ways to maximize the lifetime benefits you receive. Join us for an educational workshop where we’ll focus on maximizing Social Security benefits, as well as making informed retirement plan distribution decisions and creating a “do-it-yourself” pension. EXCEPTIONAL REAL ESTATE PHOTOS: THE NEW CURB APPEALIn today's modern real estate world, curb appeal, it can be argued, is good photography. People are busier than ever and expect everything available with the click of a mouse or the tap of a finger on a mobile device. They simply don't do drive-by's anymore unless they're actually interested in viewing the whole home inside and out; and they are not likely to become interested, unless good quality photos are available. With limited time and countless listings online to review, buyers will quickly move on if photos don’t reflect well on a property. First impressions are everything, and because they're so important, home owners and their realtor should focus as much energy and time on a photo shoot as they would on creating curb appeal or getting prepped for an open house. A picture is worth a thousand words, and in real estate they can be worth thousands of dollars. Join instructor, Grayling Lathrop, for this workshop if you want your properties to sell more quickly and at a higher selling price.56231 Tue 9/18 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Perrysburg $49

BITCOIN, CRYPTOCURRENCY & BLOCKCHAIN

INTRO TO BITCOIN, CRYPTOCURRENCY & BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGIESLearn exactly what BitCoin is and why Blockchain, the underlying technology driving cryptocurrencies, will be the next big disrupting influence in our lives. The digital currency known as bitcoin is just one of the many apps which we all will soon be using. Securely han-dling peer-to-peer transactions, medical records, smart contracts, crowdfunding, governance, and protection of intellectual property are just a few of the ways Blockchain is about to change the world. And yes, you will learn where and how to securely trade bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, as well as, how to create a digital wallet to store your digital money. You will also learn how to securely trans-mit and make purchases using cryptocurrency. Instructor: Grayling Lathrop56225 Wed 9/5 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Perrysburg $59

MINING BITCOIN, ETHEREUM & OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIESInvesting in BitCoin isn’t the only way to make money with cryp-tocurrencies! The driving force behind Blockchain is the need for "miners" who use computing power to solve complex algorithms by "mining" blocks in the chain. Not all Blockchain mining is the same. While one new bitcoin block is discovered every 10 minutes, and the award for successfully mining a single block is currently (at press time) about $80,000 USD, the hardware and resources necessary to mine bitcoins are expensive. Fortunately there are many alternative mining opportunities. In addition to bitcoin, we will explore other Blockchains which do not require overly expensive specialized hardware. In many cases just a decent computer with a high quality video card will do the trick. If you have any interest in mining for cryptocurrency this class is a MUST for you! Instructor: Grayling Lathrop56226 Wed 9/26 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Perrysburg $59

LET’S TALK: BRIDGING THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN PROFESSIONALS AND THE PEOPLE THEY SERVEThis course will consider the disconnect professionals have when communicating with clients, patients, or the public. It will walk through the importance of attending to interpersonal relationships we encounter daily to the deeper connections we may take for granted because "the world keeps spinning and time is money". At course end, participants should be open to the lifelong exercise of better communication with tools and insight in place to make that happen. Session One: Perception – Impression – Engagement Before being able to engage effectively, you need to have an understanding of what kind of communicator you are and being conscience of and making small adjustments to where you are in space. Finally, we begin making the connection, i.e.: asking, “How are you” and waiting around for the answer. Session Two: Conversation – Conflict – EmpowermentBeing conversational is an unquantifiable gift that can be learned quickly and mastered with time and effort. With communication comes the inevitability of conflict. It’s not fatal if handled with intention and kindness. We will close with a look at empowerment; the secret is in a purposeful effort to leave people better than when we found them.56062 Wed 10/17 & 10/24 2 – 4:30 p.m. Perrysburg $59
