The purpose of this document is to select the supplier for the AV and media equipment supply and fit for level 3&4 fit out for the BRITE programme.

The Plus X building is an innovation hub and co working facility for businesses in the South East and internationally, with the BRITE programme being part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund.

The new Plus X building is an excellent Breeam building and will achieve Platinum Well building accreditation. The selection of AV supplier is to align with the innovation and sustainability principals adopted by Plus X.

Programme The main contract works are due to be undertaken over an estimated 10 week period, completion end of August. The appointment of the main contractor is targeted for the middle of June 2020 Please provide a timescale or lead in requirement for order placement as part of your submission. Specification Please refer to drawings: Floor 3 AV positions – H2 Productions Floor 4 AV positions – H2 Productions STANDARD SPECIFICATION This specification covers the AV & media requirements associated with the fit out of the media spaces on floor two of the Plus X innovation hub in Brighton. The contractor shall include for the design, supply and installation of all necessary materials and equipment for the AV & media requirements which includes the following – Large Media Room:

• A flexible backdrop solution for still photography and filming – to include chromakey facility. • DSLR camera system with lens options, tripods and bracketry for varying studio requirements. • Storage media for the above DSLR system • Film lighting and camera flash system to work with the DSLR system, suitable for the intended

use. • Camera mounted and portable microphone solutions for studio filming. • Computer facilities for editing / touching up to include appropriate software.

Cost - £

Small Media Room: • A studio comprising of multiple table mounted mics for recording up to 5 people at once. • Computer facilities for editing up to include appropriate software.

MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP The work covered by this specification includes the supply, delivery to site, storage, erection, testing and commissioning of all equipment and materials as detailed in this document. All materials employed in the contract must be as specified or of an equal specification and must comply with the appropriate British Standard Specification. The workmanship and method of installation shall conform to the best standard practice. All work shall be performed by skilled tradesman to the satisfaction of the contract.

Cost - £ DETAILED REQUIREMENTS The detailed requirements of each space are as follows: Large Media Space:

• Flexible backdrop system with Green Screen facility – to include neutral backdrop option.

• DLSR system with variable lenses, tripod, mounts and storage media. • Four channel field recorder with storage media. • Camera mounted and portable microphone options compatible with the proposed field

recorder. • Remote flash system with soft boxes, umbrellas, reflectors to suit the space and use. • Lighting kit for filming including necessary control, stands and a ring light. • Computer system for film / photo editing – including interfaces for storage media, 4K screen,

creative software to include – Final Cut Pro, Creative Cloud, Logic Pro & Davinci Resolve. • Audio controllers and interfaces compatible with the above computer – to facilitate audio

capture, multi-channel mastering / mixing. Also including studio monitors, multiple closed back headphones and distribution.

Cost £ Small media room:

• Five High quality studio microphone sets including – Pop filter, adjustable microphone stands (table mounted) and windshields.

• Single microphone stand and pop shield to mount above mic for solo use. • Headphone distribution system for up to seven users (five at the recording table and two at

the computer) with independent volume control. • Computer system for audio editing / mastering – including interfaces for storage media, 4K

screen and Avid media composer keyboard. Creative software to include Logic Pro X and iZotope RX7.

• Audio interface compatible with above computer system to include a minimum of six mic / line preamps.

• Full range studio monitor package for use with above computer. • Audio controllers and interfaces compatible with the above computer – to facilitate audio

multi-channel mastering / mixing. FURTHER DETAILS on the proposed specification of the equipment – subject to contractors advise and design. Cost £ TESTING AND COMMSSSIONING The contractor shall arrange for or carry out testing and commissioning of the new installation.
