(1) How many human settlement projects did the National Home Builders Registration Council

inspect in the (a) 2013-14 and (b) 2014-15 financial years;

(2) how many of the specified projects were stopped due to (a) the quality of material used and (b)

defective structures;

(3) whether her department carried the cost of demolishing and rebuilding defective structures; if so,

what amount did her department spent in respect of each province? NW3445E

(3) The department does not carry the cost of demolition and reconstruction of defective structures.

As these are enrolled projects/home units, and non-compliance is identified by the NHBRC

Inspector during construction of the house, the Contractor/Builder is then responsible for such at

their own cost.
