California leaders in corporate education - have teamed up to develop and deliver a five-day project management class for professionals in life science, technology, and other industries.

This project management series features• Three days of fundamentals designed to
satisfy PMI® requirements for the CAPM® certificate
• Two days of intermediate and advanced topics geared toward more difficult issues encountered by project managers – especially those in the life sciences
• A certificate of completion for each section
Learning objectives
• Those new to project management (the first 3 days) will:
» Learn to apply the major concepts of project management in their work
» Gain a framework for using key methods and tools
» Become familiar with the PMBOK® » Obtain the background necessary to proceed further in project management certification
• More seasoned executives (the second 2 days) will:
» Enhance their strategic approach by implementing best project management, portfolio and resource management practices
» Compare intermediate/advanced project management techniques used in the Life Science, Aerospace and Information Technology industries
» Define best project management practices for life sciences
» Optimize clinical trial site selection and keep global project timelines on track
» Learn to enhance patient recruitment and retention
• All attendees will » Learn to implement resource planning techniques to maximize resource allocation across projects
» Better understand how to apply and use risk management techniques
» Differentiate between product risk and project risk. Learn a step-by-step process to identify and prevent potential project problems.
» Discuss new issues and technologies in project management
» Recognize the use and abuse of metrics and assess how to systematically make rational clinical trials decisions
Fee
Monday-Wednesday: three days of fundamentals, $2700
Thursday-Friday: two days intermediate and advanced topics, $1800
Register for all five days and receive a 20% discount, $3600

• Because the five days build from basics to advanced, this class can accommodate industry professionals with modest to significant knowledge of the field
• Industry professionals who need the fundamentals to better manage projects (first 3 days)
• Clinical project managers who have mastered project management basics (second 2 days)
