Special mention has been made at our parents evening of the new way in which our admin system uploads the merits and demerits directly onto the d6 connect App. Aside from the merits and demerits, all other information about your child is also available on the d6 connect App. It is very important that EACH PARENT downloads the d6 Connect App (if you haven’t already done so). Your information on the school system must be correct in order for the App to work correctly – your cell phone number and the ID numbers of both parents and learner. Kindly inform us if your cell phone number or email address has changed. Full instructions are attached at the bottom of this newsletter. You can follow the “Manual Registration” (step 4) or you can wait until the school sends you a “Token Number” and then use it to register. "Token Numbers" will be sent out again during the first week of May.

We will soon switch to d6 communication only, which means that ALL communication with parents will be through the d6 Connect App. This will mean savings for the school as well as for the parents.

Parents are requested to congratulate learners at home as soon as they get notification of merit points and/or good academic achievements. Learners are also rewarded for merits/positive points at the prize giving function. The top learners will receive certificates and/or medals. Parents are also requested to address when notifications come of offenses/bad behaviour. Learners stand 20 minutes break detention for 20 negative points. If a learner does not arrive for break detention, such a learner is placed on Friday afternoon detention. Learners with more than 100 negative points must also work down their points on a Friday afternoon (1 minute per negative point). Learners who do not attend detention on a Friday afternoon will be suspended temporarily and will be placed on a disciplinary hearing. Please contact us if you want to make us aware of any mistake. We will correct it immediately. Forgive us for the errors made using the new system.

Parents shall also be able to use the d6 Connect App in future to get their financial statements and communicate

with the school in different areas/activities. More about this in our next newsletter.

Winter uniform as from 2 May

Please consult your child's diary, pg. 9-16 for the correct winter uniform to be worn from 2 May.

Open Day 9 May Our Annual Open Day takes place on May 9 from 15:00 to 20:00. Please let everyone who would like to enrol the learners in for 2020 know. Gauteng Online Registrations for Gr.7 learners start at 8:00 on 13 May 2019. All Gr.7 brothers /sisters of existing learners must register online as soon as possible after 8:00 on May 13. Late applications are placed on a waiting list!

NWU Sport Series Unfortunately, too many Rugby, Hockey and Netball matches of the NWU pre-season programme have been cancelled due to all the rain we have had and therefore the positions of schools in the series could not be determined. However, we wish all our teams the best with the league games that have started. See results of Netball games already played below. Rugby and Hockey will start this week.
