GAP CHRISTMAS TRIP 2015 It’s that time of year again. Time to head for the mountains and receive the biggest blessing of the holiday season! I am thrilled and blessed to be coordinating the trip again this year. Our annual GAP Christmas trip has been sched- uled for December 6 th through December 10 th . During this week, we will work the Distribution Center, the Stephenson Toy Store and whatever other jobs John has for us. We will be heading back to GAP on Monday, December 14 th to work in the Parent Store. Information sheets are avail- able in the church office with a breakdown of cost and what we will be doing each day. Spots on the sign-up sheet will fill quickly so don’t wait to get your name on the list! If you aren’t able to join us on the trip, you can still be part of the team by joining us in prayer. We are already praying for the people we will come in contact with, for the children we will have the opportunity to work with, that we will have good weather to allow us to do all that God has for us to accomplish, healthy participants, and that hearts will be changed. If you want to do more, you can always make a monetary do- nation. This donation would be used for toys or food, whichever you prefer. The need for food is great again this year. Please give this donation directly to Bobbie in order for it to be credited correctly. Feel free to email me, [email protected] , with any questions or give me a call, 859-445-1227. Blessings, Miss Pat GAP CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE Our toy drive will run October 25 th through November 15 th . Please remember we are asking for NEW, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Teen gifts are always a GREAT NEED! We could also use gifts for the PARENT STORE, gifts for the kids to give mom or dad. GENTLY USED gifts are acceptable. Totes of Hope UBC Totes of Hope is an excellent opportunity for you to pro- vide a Christmas meal for a family in need. This is also a great chance for your children to be actively involved in a UBC minis- try event that teaches an important lesson about the importance of being generous to others. There are two ways you can participate in this Outreach event. You can take a Tote and fill it with the items on the enclosed shopping list and/or you can purchase $15.00 gift cards from Kroger (or monetary donations). Totes will be available in the Narthex Nov. 8th. In each Tote, you will find a shopping list that will cost approximately $50.00 to fill. Please stick to our meal plan and guide- lines. If you would like to participate but not by filling a tote you could donate $15.00 gift cards from Kroger (or monetary donations) to help the families purchase a holiday ham or turkey in addition to your shopping items. If you are providing a gift cards (or monetary donations) please return these directly to the labeled card box available in the narthex. Totes and gift cards must be returned to UBC Sunday, December 6th. The Triumph A Place of Hope! PAGE 2 THE TRIUMPH A PLACE OF HOPE!

It is crazy that November is here already! Before we know it 1015 will be in the past. Time will slip by without notice, so be sure to mark these events on your calendar. Upcoming Events:

11/1 - Black Out Party 11/6-7 - Fall Bash 11/8 - Series called “Walking on Air” begins 11/14 - Southside Baptist Fall Festival 12/6 - Clue Party

Black Out Party At our Black Out Party we will be playing games in the basement, in the dark (Supervised of course). Wear dark clothes. We will provide the glow sticks. You provide your friends!

Fall Bash Our Annual Fall Bash will be on November 6-7 from 10 pm Friday till 7 am Saturday. We need Adults to chaperone, please let Allen know if you are available. Invite your friends, the more the merrier!

Walking on Air For our final series of the semester we will be looking at four people in the Bible: Noah, Abraham, Rahab, and Mary. These four people are a great testament to the kind of faith we need to live by each day.

Southside Baptist Fall Festival Once again we will be helping Southside Baptist with their annual community Fall Festival. Please sign-up outside the Youth Room door if you would like to attend. We will meet at UBC at 9:30 am on November 14 and plan to return around 1:30 pm.

Ecuador Please be in prayer for our group of 9 as we spend the next few months preparing for the work God has for us to do in Quito, Ecuador.

UBC Rescue Facebook Page Please like our Facebook page, “UBC Rescue,” to receive updates and reminders on your news feed!

As the sun sets earlier each day and brings the darkness of night, remember the darkness that unbelievers live in. Let it motivate you to be a light of Christ as you live out each day. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great

light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.

Isaiah 9:2 In Christ, Allen
