Recently there was a collaborarion between the City. NorwestBank. and our very own youth conunittee. The result was FabFriday at LBJ Middle School. The program was designed togive middle-school aged kids something to do during the .
summer days. Every Friday it is held at a different middleschool. OnJuly 18th we were lucky enough to have it at our
middle school.
It was a success. Several kids showed up to participate inacriviries like the Rio Grande Bio- Van. basketball and theaterprograms. The Albuquerque Fire Department showed up withhoses to give everyone a cool-off. The youth Conunittee soldhot-dog lunches to the kids for only a dollar. Included were a
hot dog. chips. and a drink.
WOe would also like to thank the following people and bu5i.1essfor their help: June Numan. Albertson's. Oscar Meyer.Northwest Optimists Club. and the City Parks and RecreationDepartment. @J

The monsoon season has arrived. I hope it didn't interferewith National Night Out on August Sdl. The rainy season is
always welcome in New Mexico. My gTasS and flowerscertainly appreciate the moisture along with my pocketbook as
the water bill arrives.
The board of directors is pleased to announce the newmembership, advertisements, and participation of the U.S.New Mexico Federal Credit Union. Although they havefour locations, the closest is 4411 Irving Blvd. Be sure to stop
in. As a member to the Taylor Ranch NeighborhoodAssociation, you are eligible to join the Credit Union. Duringthe month of September, the Credit Union will have a
-~bership drive to help our association gain new members.?- U.S. New Mexico Federal Credit Union will pay for one
-year's membership into TRNA. This is for new members only.
We do appreciate their help.
Speaking of membership! This is one of our greatest concerns. The best way to make an impact with the City or any otherorganization is by the number of members we have. Pleasehelp us gain the momentum to grow. If you are willing todevote time, energy and make new friends, join themembership committee. Harry Antram is our MembershipDirector. Call him if you are interested.
Until next time, God bless your family! @
