1What’s New at RSNA 2011

Dear Colleagues,

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to RSNA 2011. To make the most of your time in Chicago, use this Pocket Guide as your quick reference to the services and programs at the annual meeting and McCormick Place.

Whether you’re looking for information about educational courses, dining options, or the location of your shuttle bus, the Pocket Guide can help. Use the Index on page 3 to find specific information.

Don’t miss the 2011 plenary sessions—the highlights of our program, featuring esteemed lecturers from around the world describing the state of the art in the radiologic sciences. Page 8 offers further details on the lecturers and their topics.

While you’re here, I also encourage you to take advantage of the RSNA Services area in the Lakeside Center. RSNA staff are on hand to help you with questions about membership, journal subscriptions, CME opportunities, and the vast array of RSNA benefits.

You can stay connected throughout the meeting on your mobile device. Visit m.RSNA.org for a collection of tools to help you plan your course schedule.

And this year, the meeting doesn’t end at McCormick Place. The RSNA 2011 Virtual Meeting offers you a new way to experience the world’s premier medical imaging event, from anywhere. With your custom avatar, you can explore a virtual world—complete with educational offerings, plenary sessions, Vendor Showcases, a virtual Arie Crown Theater, an RSNA Services area and more. Visit RSNA2011.RSNA.org or ask an RSNA staff member how to get started.

I encourage you to make your RSNA 2011 experience the best it can be. As we “Celebrate the Image” this week, please take a moment to browse through the Pocket Guide. It can help you discover what the RSNA annual meeting—and the City of Chicago—has to offer.

On behalf of the RSNA Board of Directors, I wish you an outstanding week.

Burton P. Drayer, MDBurton P. Drayer, MD 2011 RSNA President
