DOWNLOAD THE GUIDES

There are more PDFs available on the page upon logging in (also at the QuickLinks in the top menu of the membership).

1) The Podcast Guest Success Blueprint is a step-by-step guide to becoming the bestguest possible. The guide walks you through how to become a guest, how to createyour listing, how to pitch yourself, how to be a great guest, and how to make themost of your guest appearances. This guide works alongside the directory andassists you with the process.

2) The Podcast Episode Planning Guide consists of a guide to hosting guests, anepisode planner and a tracking system. These two sections combined are designedto help podcasters curate their perfect podcast episodes with intention anddirection.

Take a look through the applicable guides to get an idea of what they entail asthey are helpful for making the most of your membership and for creating yourlisting(s). Print or save them in a handy location. They can also be filled outdigitally. When recording your goals below, consider adding the completion of theguide(s) as goals to accomplish.

If you do not want to make use of the guides thoroughly, we do ask that you atleast scan through them to get a sense of how the community flows best.

PREPARE TO MAKE CONNECTIONS If you do not already have a system in place to track your pitches and/or guestoutreach, please see the Tracking Tools in the Quick Links of the membership menu. You can make copies of these to use or you may set up your own system on adifferent platform using the headings given. (The Podcast Episode Planning Guidementioned below also contains a tracking system for podcasters.)

Another great tool to utilize is the Boomerange Chrome extension. This tool can helpwith follow-up communication. You can schedule it to send your email back to you ifit has not been opened or responded to by the recipient after a certain amount oftime. This serves as a reminder that it is time to follow-up with that person (helpingyou land that interview or guest). Here's a video I found to help get started withthis.

Write down your end goals. What are you hoping to get out of the membership? What do you would you like to achieve? What do you want your long-term results to be?

GOAL PLANNING STEPS

Using the "Goals" page of this guide, take some time to writedown your weekly or monthly collaboration goals.

Each box is for one week but can be used for a month.

Plan weekly, dedicated, distraction-free times to work on thesegoals. Record them in your paper and/or digital calendar. Setreminders for yourself on your phone. Blocking off set timeseach week leads to success!

Notes: 1) If you prefer not to use a paper planner, the Goals and Wins tracking sections further below can be easily replicated using a digital system of your choice. (e.g. a spreadsheet with the appropriate column headings.)

2) This section is designed to be a minimum of 4 weeks. It can be extended to your desired length of time by printing extra Goals and Wins pages and continuing with the habits you have developed along the way.

On your regular calendar, record the goal due dates you havedecided upon.

(e.g. find 10 podcasts to pitchto, find and connect with 3 guests, etc.)Alternatively, if you prefer to dedicate a certain number of hoursper week to work on your goals then write down your time goals inhours instead. Make sure they are reasonable goals; set the pace according toyour schedule. Print as many copies of the Goals page as you need in order toaccommodate all your goals.
