The website describes podcasting as for teachers and students to share audio and visual files.

This new tool in education offers innovate ways to deliver assignments to students.

The website also offers tutorials and educational podcasting samples.

With podcasting, educators can include voice recordings, sound effects, photos, as well as movies with their students. Podcasts also allow educators to make lessons available to students, so that students can learn at their own pace.

I feel as though the Apple website offered many great ideas regarding how to use podcasting in education. Podcasting is a tool that makes way for more creativity. It is also a great tool for communication and the sharing of different ideas. I like the podcasts can be posted and found on one main website making them easy to access and use.

This website also offers reports from the country’s top newspapers. The articles describe the benefits of using podcasting in the classroom as well as how they are being used. “A podcast is like few other devices that a teacher can use in advancing a student's development," said Daniel J. Schmit, an instructional technology specialist in the college of education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and the author of "KidCast: Podcasting in the Classroom." "It teaches them to do research, to communicate in print, to speak effectively and grab attention with sound.” – The New York Times

With is easy usage, educators have little software to install and can control the content and creation of each podcast making it valuable and useful in the classroom

I liked how this website included articles from various well-known newspapers. I showed me that podcasting is more than just something that I had to research for class. Podcasting is an Internet tool that is being used all over the world for the advancement of education.

At LearningInHand.com, podcasting is described as a learning tool that is used all over the world.

Podcasts programs allow new episodes to automatically download. This makes learning new lessons at each students’ pace easy, because the student can move to the next lesson when he or she is ready.

Teachers use audio or visual podcasts more often because they allow students to listen or watch the lesson. This website also describes how viewers of podcasts do not have to have an iPod or an MP3 player to watch downloads. They can simply view them from their web browser, making them more accessible to students.

Learing in Hand Summary

I like how this website described podcasts in a simple way. I did not realize that you did not have to have an iPod or an MP3 player to view them. I really like how a student can view a podcast from their web browser. I also like how this website described the different types of podcasts, making the reader aware of what is available as a learning tool.

Personal “A-ha” Reflection

Out of the three articles, I really enjoyed the second one “Podcasting in Education” the best. I felt like this article really made it clear to me that podcasting is something is being used in classroom all over the world. I had read previously of how useful podcasts were in education, which I found really interesting. I however, did not realize that podcasts were actually being used so frequently. I like how this website included different newspaper articles regarding the usage of

podcasts in classrooms. Overall, I feel like this website made it clear to me that podcasts will be useful in my classroom when I become a teacher. I also like that I now know where to look for tutorials on how to use and create podcasts. Apple.com’s website included different samples and tools for creating and viewing podcasts.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I feel like I have found three useful websites that define and describe the usage of podcasts clearly. Podcasts are useful tools that are being used all over the world for the advancement and sharing of education. They are easy to use. Podcasts inspire communication and creative for both students and teachers.
