    Harshit Abrol, Roll No: 61

I am very punctual and always reach college on time,

After two lectures I feel I have committed a crime.

    I cheat in exams,

    But I never cheat reality.

    I hate my studies,

    But I love technology.

    World can't change me,

But I can change the world.

You wont ever find me with books, they make me blind,

But I have revolutionary thoughts in my mind.

I am the rarest on Earth...

Meet me I am a back bencher...!!!

    Aditya Diwakar, Roll No: 62

An eerie moment, salvages the sounds

    a silent whisper lingers around,

the air seems to stop and take a breath

is this moment we live for or death?

Eagle like eyes hover the prey

definitely a page from History I would say,

And there came the man like a gush of wind

every life stood still, every single of its kind

Moments like these only come once in time

they are worth your every penny and dime,

As the football hits the net it gladdens the soul

after all it is only rare that you get to hit the winning goal.

Aman Raj Gupta, Roll No: 63

    The more you love someone

The more you go away from yourself

Books like this lied in my shelf

I could not see where i was going

I know i was in depth loving

I toiled night and day to make you smile to make your world chile

I i left my soul to make you my wing i know i was in depth loving

You gave me tears and many fears my life turned gears

I still see you with the same eyes missed you in 3 seconds thrice

From your dream world i am going i know i am in depth loving

    Aniket Rai, Roll No: 64

I wake up at the crack of the dawn

Getting out of the bed with a big yawn

Looking at the clock I start to frown.

Rushing quickly to my college in the town.

    Surviving the hustle and bustle

    I try to settle

On my chair made up of sponge and metal.

I take out the copy of my economic time

which has neither a reason nor any rhyme

The teachers though cheerful are sometimes stern

All with the common motive to make us learn

They say Rise with education, Rise like a sun.

But Alas! Behind placements we all run.

As everybody wants to earn their own butter and bun.

Reaching home, I make myself a bowl of noodle

Fully aware of the assignments lying on the moodle

Frantically I take the help of the ever reliable Google

As it always manages to drag me out of a muddle

Finally, working through the night, I manage to achieve this feat

Only to realize later, tomorrow all of the above is again going to repeat.

    Anirudh Agnihotri, Roll No: 65

Who ever said life's not easy

just depends on how you live,

you die everyday while you breathe

or breathe so that you can seehow your decison turns out to be,

be it right and you can smile

    with pride soaring sky high

be it wrong and you can laugh

    madly at your own mistakes

why live in the worry of tomorrow

and miss out on your beautiful today,

everything isn't always dipped in sugar,

but really things are not that bad

you need to right timeuntil that time sit back and relax

skip a date with your books,

    step out and glance around

open your eyes, that's all you have got to do

life's got so much to offer you

    DADDY

    You are my true friend,

on whom I can trust till my end.

You are my guide and a teacher,

for me you are a godly figure.

You are the boat with which,

I can cross this ocean of life.

    You will ever help me,

    survive dangers of life.

    Behind my every success,

    is your inspiration.

What helped me to achieve success,

    was your motivation.

For all the sacrifices you have given,

this tribute is only a drop from a big ocean.

    Drops of Hope

In the month of June when the first rain drops hit the Indian ground,

Tear drops of happiness and joy in the eyes of the farmer surround.

Drops permeate the soil and the air smells petrichor,

The farmer smells the unborn fruits that will bore.

As his skin bathes and he takes the drop bullets on his chest,

He feels the ripe crops with the memory of green pastures refreshed

And Finally when the clouds crack and the falling drops make the oozing sound on earth,

The Indian farmer hears the clinking coins of his hard work.

With the hope rekindled by the drops of rain,

Farmer waits and only waits for life to come out of the sowed grain.

    Malleswari Bhupathi, Roll No: 68

    MANIMAL

Back in the days when man lived in caves

gathered fruits, hunted animals and braised

    Many animals were considered dangerous

Mankind lived in a perpetual fear

and wouldn't venture far from the safety near

Later, man discovered agriculture, fire, and metal

stepping out of the caves, began a process of rapid expansion

Forests were leveled to make way for the expanding population

With advancement in science and technologytranscended his mental evolution beyond survival

He became a terror, a savage beast

hunting animals for sports, ornamentals, pleasure and feast!

He wipes out the competing animals at his whims and caprices

    How soon the tide turns!

At the top of a cage in Lusaka is written

world's most dangerous animal, but there is no animal inside but a MIRROR

They'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place

And some said that even the trees had been a bad move

and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

    ARRANGE MARRIAGE

Those mushy moments, those thoughts that stay just in mind,

There is a market of marriage proposals, as if there are people who actually buy in kind.

Everyday you dress up, everyday you r decked up, having in mind a false wish,

Just like a touch me not plant close its leaves to open it back to kiss.

And then they say that its the Almighty that decides d fate.

Life is just a sacrifice for someone but not for you mate.

While Dreaming about your prince who stays somewhere on a different land,

You feel that someone should come to hold your hand.

When u r completely lost in your thoughts

And unknowingly you are in yourself, trying to protect thyself

And den suddenly you realise that its just Day dreaming.

Nothing Else, Nothing Else, Nothing Else..!!

she gave words to my voice

she is strength when i lose faith

she is answer to my prayer

the most beautiful women i have met ever

you guessed it right she is my mother :)

    Amrit Goenka, Roll No: 71

    Never Say Die

Never say Die, never say die

    Until and unless you try.

The work is hard till the time you make an attempt,

Later it becomes a successful event

Have hope and pull up the rope

This is far better than saying nope...

Never say Die, never say die

    Until and unless you try

Life is a sport span; do not make it a frying pan

Enjoy every essence of it and feel the presence of it

Believe in you, have faith in you

    People will start acknowledging you

No matter what is the situation,

Pull up your socks and have persuasion

Never say Die, never say die

    Until and unless you try

Feeling of I can and I will should never make you still,

Be optimistic, it is never too late to become futuristic

Never say Die, never say dieUntil and unless you try

I dunno why I feel this now

    But nothing feels so Wow

everything feels different without youMy life stands without a clue

My days are not the same

    My nights are to blame

every thing is not the same

    without u everything looks lame

    Stars may not shine

Some day I'll make you mine

Days may turn away into yearsWe will cherish these memories in silent tears

    U make me laugh,

    U make me smile,

U make my world go round and round,

the best part is you make my world complete.

This is my love for you ,

Not for every one only for few and it includes only you.

    Meena Iyer, Roll No: 73

We make plans to do things in life

    Never think about their practicality

Never think that there is a plan ahead for us

Just go along with It merrily

What happens next is the execution of the plan

    That always somehow goes awry

That always demotivates us to the core

It will always, always make us cry

There are some people who support us

Whenever there are those unnecessary big setbacks

Whenever we are broken they mend us

Life oh, life you are a unique backpack!

No matter what happens in our lifes journey

Whatever effects we get from the harsh season

We must always look up and heave a sigh

Cause everything , yes everything happens for a reason.

    Sunset Views

As sunset glistens upon the land

I see myself with time in hand

The beauty and serenity it brings to me

The Magic it sings feels like God talking to me.

As sunset shines upon the ground

I stand in awe staring at natures beauty astound

The awe in seeing the colours soak into them

Mind goes dumbstruck seeing art revoking heart in them.

The sunset is a symbol of Life and Love

Soaring in the heavens above like a dove

The sunset fills me up with mystery

Everything of worry just becomes History.

    Jacob Joseph, Roll No: 75

On a perpetual quest, I voyage.

    A quest for what?

    I can not discern..

Does the shoe fit me right, I wonder,

The sun gives me light, I ponder,

The stars teach me right, I contemplate.

I look up in the sky and close my eyes

Upon me, there is a cloud,

    A cloud of expectation

Expectation that fills up my mind.

On a perpetual quest, I voyage.

    A quest for what?

    I can not discern..

Am I leading the right herd, I am curious

Am I following the right foot steps, I am anxious

Am I breathing the right air, I reflect

I look up in the sky and close my eyes

Upon me there is a cloud,

    A cloud of confusion

  • 7/29/2019 Poem Final

    15/55

Confusion that fills up my head

On a perpetual quest, I voyage.

    A quest for what?

    I can not discern..

Am I being embraced by the right wings, I mull,

Can i face the violent sea, I weigh,

Can i read the signs of the almighty, I reason.

I look up in the sky and close my eyes

Upon me there is a cloud

    A cloud of anticipation

Anticipation that fills up my soul

With a thousand voices in my head, I run

    Alone, up against the world

    Chosen, am I the one?

    Peace, shall I find it?

My treasure, where should I hunt for it?

I look up in the sky and close my eyes

Upon me there is a cloud

    A cloud of doubt

Doubt that fills up my brain

On a perpetual quest, I voyage.

  • 7/29/2019 Poem Final

    16/55

    A quest for what?

    A hidden treasure?

    Deep down I know now

I look up in the sky, eyes wide open

Upon me there is a cloud

    A cloud of certainty

Certainty that fills up my senses and makes me believe.

    A quest for what?

    A quest for Happiness

    I close my eyes,

    And meditate

    Deep down I know now

Happiness is a choice, I apprehend

Happiness is a journey, I conceive

    Happy I think,

    happy I walk,

    happy I dream,

    happy I rejoice

A new quest I embark on,

    A quest for what?

    For the Unknown

I look up in the sky and close my eyes..

    TRIBUTE TO SRT

When the 16 year old took the field,Opponents thought is it a joke,

But as soon as his skills were revealed,

They admired and considered him a serious bloke.

    He blossomed in every condition,

Let it be the fastest track of Durban,

The swing of Birmingham, or the

    Spin of Wankhede stadium.

His grit and determination overturned the desert storm,While the bowlers had nightmares because of his stupendous batting form.

He is considered the master blaster, the class apart,

That is why millions stand up whenever he enters the park.

    After spending glorious 23 years,

He may have retired from the cricketing fraternity,

    But his name ..SACHINSACHIN.,

Will be chanted by millions for Eternity.

    MY FRIEND

My friend is like a flower

    which is always in bloom,

    like sweet sweet perfume.

My friend is like a flower

    whose colours are so bright

    that attracts everyone

    like sunflower to sunlight,

My friend is like a flower

    may she always remain joyous

    Waiting eyes

I dont know where it ends,

I dont know where it starts.

The way is till now straight,

I dont know if it parts.

    But if that happens someday,

I'll stay strong by your side.

    Though everything has ended,

But my love for you never died.

I still see you in my dream,

No matter how old you grow.

    It still tickles me,

When you look with a raised eyebrow.

You sing a song of life,

    I never heard the words.

Because I kept staring at you,

    And my sight slowly blurred.

I saw you hold my hand,

And look deep into my eyes.

I have no words to say,

    My heartbeat starts to rise.

I love you so much Dad, but i cannot explain.

I want to make you proud, and one day i Will,

I keep thinking about you, be it day or night.

The curves and contours of your body drive me wild,

I want to spend with you the summers mild.

You roar like a tigress, a beast unchained.

I admire your power, your vigour ingrained.

    MY CHOCLATES

My dear chocolates , you were born by a sudden two second thought in my mind,

But, that two seconds, has given a new direction to my life

    Ohh my chocolates,

You bring so much happiness and joy to people

    Who eat you up,

    You make me immensely proud,

When people praise you, want you more

    You bring money to me,

    Which matters nothing to me,

    What matters is

You take me to a different world,

A world where I make rules and

    Others follow

A world where I unleash my creativity to the fullest

A world where I am allowed to be myself

    Ohh my dear chocolates

You hold and will always hold,

A very very , precious space in my heart.

    New Year-2013

Came , Came, New Year came

With lots of fun and joys it came

    Do come and enjoy

    Keeping your esteem high

    Rejuvenate your thoughts and dreams

    Do something innovative and scream

Dont expect problems to leave your way

But I know youll find some way

As where there is a will there is a way

Dont shatter your hopes and cry

Ask yourself this has happened why

Find the mainspring of the cause

And do something to make up for the loss

Ask God to come and help you

And youll discover the miracle called you

So, I wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year

With a request to follow the above trend this year.

    That always enlightens my way.

You are the tree I lean upon,

When you are there troubles are gone.

You are the one who knows me best,

You are the one who accepts me at my worst.

You know my heart, you know my likes,

You can hear my cries even if I hide.

Your touch relieves me from pain,

    Worries vanish when you embrace,

You are the words in my song,

    A Page from Moms Diary

The day I caught you in my arms,You mesmerized me with your charm....

It gives me a spark of glee,

When I see in you a reflection of me...

I do not look at the moon and stars,

In you I have got the brightest star....

As you grew the distance widened,

I wasnt the one in whom you would confide in...

I promise to be there for you in rain and stormy weather,

Though we spent fewer hours together...

I wanted to be your friend; the one you could trust,

For this making me a part of your world is a must...

I will always love you from the bottom of my heart,

Because darling youre my precious part...

I know you love me too,

This is the bond which keeps me connected to you...

Today I am here; tomorrow I may be gone,

What remains between us is like the melody of a song...

It is easy to laugh on others, but its a task to make someone laugh.

It is easy to smile during happy times, but it is difficult to smile when you are sad.

It is this man who has a kind heart,

who cares for you, your joy.

But for us his life is nothing, nothing more than a toy.

He is a brave man, does funny things,

Thus your sorrows vanishes and sinks.

He is a risk taker, not a loafer

He is none other than, Dear Mr Joker.

It is something which is not for the faint heart,

Be proactive, you cant wait for others to start,

She does everything whatever I want,

I have never heard her Oh dear I cant

She always encourages me when I leave hope

Just as you are drowning and you get a rope.

    In search of my spark...

have you ever felt the need to be the best?when all you can think about is how to be better than the rest.

sit and think again it is actually gods test,

to judge who really deserves the treasure chest.

we all have days when we stare and gaze,

wondering if fate will ever change its way,

lost in thoughts and lifes tricky maze,

dreams are something that we all wish to chase.

when we look around, we see people so smart,

one dances and the other makes the best tart,

which makes me wonder where should i really start?

as i am good at nothing but shopping at walmart.

as i think further and harder, for many days,

striving if there is a spark in me i can trace,

maybe leading a nation or fighting a simple case,

blankly into the galaxy i gaze.

    and then it hits me,

no one succeeds by getting things for free,

even saints had to meditate under the tree,

so i continue lifes journey and lock my thoughts with a big key....

I asked the lotus in the pond,

What makes it so special in the dirty swamp?

The lotus guided me to the world of beauty,

A beauty, so powerful, so divine,

It transformed the filth into a feeling of sunshine,

The lotus stands as an example of nature,

That the mankind discover their inner feature,

Make the world a better place to live in,

So that serenity persists in every human being

She's born in a society that looks down upon

    nothing she does seems right

he's born and the town shouts out loud

he is strong powerful and and he can fight.

He does not cry he is strong

he dominates and has the right to live long.

she is emotional and she nurtures

her caring love is an omen for her future.

    a wife a mother

    but nothing will stop

    his thoughts that wander

    Many more girls born today

in a world that is not for her

    And told my Dad that

YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME

    When I was a child

You took me in your arms

    I felt the love

    Keeping me safe from harm

You took me through all tides

You took me through all rides

    The way you care

    The thoughts you share

And now that I ve grown up

    U still are concerned

Never asking for anything in return

And now that l m liitle far from u

    I know how much I need u

You mean the world to me .

Hmm, I am a poet and I need to do it,

I thought why should be the answer but not the question,so the answer was why do I love?

I love because she is beautiful, sweet, cute, good to me,

Is that the answer? No, I won't love someone because she is good to me,

Actually love is the mystery the answer lies in the history,

the history that we cannot analyse and few questions should be best unanswered,

So enjoy the joy of loving and someone loving you back.

    Poem on Steve Jobs

An innovator, a visionary of the modern age,

He started his business in his parents garage.

He had a dream to change the world,

People felt that he was stupid, his thoughts were absurd.

Then arrived Macintosh, Pixar and Toy story,

It marks the beginning of an inspiring journey to glory.

Iphones and Ipads revolutionized global technology.

It was path breaking, never imagined by human psychology.

In an era dominated by people who are snobbish,

He urges the youth to stay hungry, stay foolish.

He Says Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith.

Wear your armor and beat that wraith.

    He always tried to connect the dots;

He defied limited thoughts and took his shots.

    We will always remember Steve Paul Jobs;

For he lives in our mind and is a true heart throb..

    IMMORTAL PAIN

She opened her eyes, then felt the meaning of life,

Two hands guided her soul and made her life easier with their love and hopes.

    BUT

Beneath her clothes are the hidden scars,

In her chest is a broken heart..

The thief that robbed her body,

Stole her strength and left her in vain,

Its really hard to live with such a chronic pain.

She is trapped inside this body, with pain that has no ends,

She will grieve for all the things she has lost,

She would like them back again

    Things like this happens every-day,

    Abuse is never right,

Everyone deserves a chance to live their own life.

Can't put in the words the way i feel for you

Your voice is music for my earsI wish to listen to this for years

Your eyes glisten like morning dew

Every time i looked at them closer i drew

Moments spent with you are with treasure

I will cherish your friendship forever

For no one cares the way you do

Never will i wish to bid you adieu.

After you happened to meeverything around is so happy and glee

Like an angel from god, you colored my world with every color and hue.

    DEEP BLUE SEA

Come along, come with me,and take a dive in the deep blue sea.

Put on your gear, let's explore

all the way to the ocean floor.

See that snail wrapped in curls,

    Look!! An oyster wearing pearls.

    Watch the octopus so dark,

but don't you dare to pet the shark.

Now we're very far below, the lantern fish are all aglow.

Is that a tiny shock you feel?

You just met an electric eel.

Giant blue whales start to stir,

    bigger than dinosaurs ever were

Wave good-bye to the squid and sponge

this is the end of our deep-sea plunge.

Sometime i feel like having a world devoid of words

    What is Love??

What is love, I wonder if its a Dove

Pure and White which gives us happiness so bright

sometimes its like a fight which gives enough reasons to fright

Life is such but you got to live it as much

Things may go wrong but be strong

like in a storm birds singing their song

Love is everywhere and blings like a solitaire

Fish in the water swims like a strutter

With sea as her best friend to give her life a wend

God is love who showers his blessing from above

Give love like God and throw away your ego sword

Cherish every moment because you live it once with out any restriction license

    Life As We Know It

life is all that together we share,

just like the oxygen in the air,

leaving a footprint is upto you,

and that is achieved by very few.

life is short so do not waste,

dont make temptations make you move with haste,

take it slow, take it with a smile ,

do the best you can with every passing mile.

life has ups, life has downs, and a lot of smiles and frowns,

    but from life never hide,

and each day happily take the long stride.

relax and just go with the flow,

for life teaches you highs and lows,

promise yourself to cherish each day,

and while the sun is still shining go ahead and make hay....

    The Journey

In the midst of a desert, I wander

With the destiny which lie way ahead

The sun is like bunch of needles pricking me hopelessly

The sand is showing hatred towards me

There are unknown species in each heavy step

Trying to scare me away from my oasis

    Hush.goes the sandstorm

Providing me the evidence of liveliness

My eyes are blurry, my body giving away

My mind is playing games of its own

Convincing me that my destiny lies in another planet

The only resort is the ever beating heart

    Pure, simple still trustful

Encouraging me to survive, fight and score

    Driving me amidst hardship

To the land of my dreams

But my friends never let me feel that I am alone...!!

Each day teach me to dream big and high,

They may come true or not, but atleast the faith dont die...!!!

I learned never to feel the hate, to be confident and to never hesitate,

Somehow, it all gets too tough, when I am on the stage.....!!!

They say, Mumbai is all about fun,

but I know, for what I came here is yet to be done.....!!!!

    A poem on Her

    They said she is a beacon of peace;

Then why was the beacon taken away from her??

    They said she is a light of sacrifice;

Then why did her sacrifices go unheard??

They worshiped her in many forms,

Then why dint he treat her with the same dignity??

She waved as sea, to bring her thoughts out to the world,

Then why did the same sea and wave be so harsh on her??

They said the sparkle in her soul enlightens the entire universe,

Then why was she thrown into darkness??

She wandered out of her fence, through the stars in her window thinking of her dreams,

Then why were her dreams so badly shattered??

They said tell a girl what to wear,

I am saying rather tell him not stare!!

Everyone will say that its just a poem, with plain letters.

I am saying I wont let this remain a poem with plain letters!!

    Riding in the rain

I come out of my house and its pouring down,

my spirits are dampened. Do I have to ride to town?

The sky is beautiful, he reminds me of me,

Neither white, black nor blue, Just a spotless grey

The rain drops hit hard trying to make me stop,

Like the buggers who laugh at me at the corner shop,

I accelerate and ride faster, a rebellious race

But I must ride right so I drop the pace,

my road is not clear, but I must ride,

Some times I am on course sometimes I run wide,

but thats no shame there'ss nothing to hide,

My mirrors are my friends they keep me in check,

they show me what I cant see,

where I can and cant be,

my gear makes sure that I am warm and cosy

my headlight adds colour, makes the picture rosy,

Riding like this is giving me a kick,

it's pure pleasure, better than any trip,

The rain and I battle like husband and wife,

I am counting on my brakes to save my life.......!

You will find this place where darkness never creeps.

This is a story about a crowded beach,

Where people come, smile and weep

A man trapped in the circles of sins and debt

like a fish in the fishermen net.

Gazing at the waves he finds rest

While the sun rise and sets.

In the evening when breezes blow

And in the ocean the dark water of filth flow

The night sky where only few stars glow

The memories of the past forego.

Reminded of the promises made which were fake

With every receding wave he could his heart break.

But still before the moon says goodbye he wakes

Because this is Mumbai, city without brake!!

Have to have to go through it ahead.

    It is what we believe,

    For we know that

From which I am trying hard to set free.

So that I could go away, live my life..

Why do I feel like a traveller..

    Stranded in a desert,

Seraching for his way to the road of life...What have I done,

To lead a life of struggle and triumph..???????

With this thought and a tear in my eye..
