HiandwelcometotheJuly2018editionofthePointWellwhat amonth of celebration and changeMay and June have been. Firstly, itwas a pleasure toattendtheJuniorprizegivingearlier inMay. It isgreattoseetheenthusiasmandsuccessoftheclubsjuniors,welldonetoallthewinners.IwanttoalsoacknowledgeJanetHepiforhercontinuedsupportoftheJasmineHepiScholarshipwhichshestartedwayback in1976–congratulationstoAxelBostockforbeingthisyears’recipient.ThiswasfollowedupaweeklaterbytheAGM,theBettyFyersTournament,andtheSeniorprizegiving.AsreportedattheAGMtheclubcontinuestobeinaverystrongfinancialpositionhavingsufficientfundstomeetmorethan18monthsoftheclub’scurrentexpenditure(lastyearIreported14months),sofromthis perspective I am pleased to say that the club remains in a solid financial position. Membershipnumbershadanincreaseforseniormembershipwhichnowstandsat88members(upfrom78),asmalldecreasefor juniorwithstandsat121(downfrom130).
