George Seurat
This is a famous French artist from the 1800’s named George Seurat. He was a famous painter. He took a LONG time painting, and he painted in a suit! He had to be very careful to make sure he didn’t drip paint on himself!

La Grande Jatte
This is his most famous painting, called “La Grande Jatte”. Seurat often painted rich people enjoying life. He used a style called POINTILLISM. That means he painted in little dots. Let’s see a close up of part of this painting.
