AnnuAlemploymentreportHigHligHtS Data for this report was collected through mail surveys, follow-uptelephone calls and inquiries to academicdepartments.TheCareerCentersurveyedgraduatesofbaccalaureatedegreesfromNDSUfortermsendinginDecember2005,May2006andAugust2006.Thisreport is based on responses from 1,206 graduates (73.4% of thereported1,642undergraduatedegreesgranted).
Ofthe1,206respondents:• 864(71.6%)reported“Employed.”
• 277(23.0%)reported“PostBaccalaureate&Professional.”
• 65(5.4%)reportedstill“ActiveinJobSearch.”
Ofthe864employedrespondents:• 782(90.5%)reported:“EmployedRelatedtoMajor/Minor.”
• 35(4.1%)reportedemployedinpart-timepositions.
• The average annual “related” reported salary of respondents was$38,000.Thehighestreportedsalarywas$78,000.
• Graduates reportedacceptingemployment in37statesandthreeforeigncountries.
• 437 respondents (50.6%) reported accepting employment inNorthDakota.
• 259 respondents (30.0%) reported accepting employmentinMinnesota.
• 463 respondents reported their original home state as NorthDakota,ofwhich327reportedacceptingemploymentinNorthDakota(70.6%retention).
• Ofthisyear’semployedgraduatesfromtheCollegeofAgriculture,FoodSystems,andNaturalResources,21.1%havechosentofarmorranch.
