    INTRODUCTION

"Without the whole, the parts are fragments that are lost, and there is no partswithout the whole" Masanobu Fukuoka

Behind every action there is a theoretical principles that guide it. Choosing the

correct theoretical philosophy or principles is the first step to success inagriculture and in any field. Different approaches lead to different results. Thebasic difference between Chinese medicine, for example, and the West lies inits approach: China believes the body a materialization of subtle energycurrents, restoring the flow of energy or "chi" the symptoms disappear.Western medicine, however, acts only on the human physical body.

The healing arts have become increasingly open to the approach of worldenergy. Polarity therapy, Reiki, Bach flowers, and many other techniquesoccupy the space that conventional medicine leaves orphan increasingly acting

on a small part of the total reality. All living things are matter and energy, butit is the energy that gives life to matter. And that, we know and apply it to thehealing arts easily forget when trying to apply it to other fields such asagriculture.

Now only biodynamic farming has a comprehensive approach to living beings. The system created by Rudolph Steiner takes into account the cosmicinfluences and vital energy of plants.

Other techniques such as permaculture, regenerative agriculture or organic

food movement, are well advanced in consideration of soil microbial life andhumus as the basis of fertility and health of plants. All going in the rightdirection. These techniques, however, are limited to a consideration of plantsand animals from a material standpoint. They are very correct ... at their level.

And holistic perspectives are achieved only when things are viewed fromdifferent levels, from the most subtle to the most material or physical. Anytype or approach to agriculture above all must be aware of the level fromwhich it operates and works.

My skills are very basic biodynamic agriculture. And right now I want cultivatea certain "intelligent ignorance" regarding biodynamics to look at things from anew window. Since my full admiration for biodynamic agriculture, I preferred tolook at agricultural practices from an energy approach from zero. Surely therewill be many things matching between biodynamic agriculture and polarity, asboth look at things from the same perspective. As Teilhard de Chardin said, everything just level up converging.

Agriculture polarity want to look at reality from a new perspective, the viewthat Dr. Stone defined in the 50s. From this perspective should exit principles,

methods and practices for growing the same way that came to the art ofhealing.

One of the contributions of agriculture polarity is that it helps to understand inwhat level act other techniques so that you can see an overview of reality. Forexample, permaculture design emphasizes comprehensive sustainableecosystem where each part of an estate serves multiple functions and createpositive interactions between different elements of the ecosystem, such aschickens and the garden. This planning, this design, corresponds to air level of

the construction process of the reality, the process of rationality, thought, theplane that has not been realized yet.

WHY THE NAME OF POLARITY FARMING?

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritualbeings having a human experience" Teilhard de Chardin

Energy always flows between two poles. From a positive, expansive pole, goes

to a negative, receiving pole, passing through a neutral point where the twopoles are balanced. A plant is a living thing with a subtle body, electromagneticfield, invisible. The energy of this body becomes denser until it crystallizes inthe plant. Matter is crystallized energy, an energy that has become more denseand lower frequency. The Little Prince by Saint-Exupery said that what isessential is invisible to the eye: we cann't see the real being of man andplants.

The polarities are the engine of Universe: yin and yang, night and day, goodand bad ... The biosphere is the neutral pole between the cosmic and earth

    energies.

A plant expands when germinates until it begins to contract again to formseeds. Expansion and contraction, inspiration and exhalation, centrifugal andcentrpedo ...

The principle of respect for nature is based on the perception thatawareness guide all life processes. This awareness extends toeverything that grows. Natural Agriculture recognizes that plants arealive and conscious entities. Mokichi Okada

    THE FIVE ELEMENTS

Suppose we want to build a house. This is the process we follow:

    SENSATION (I need a house)

PLANIFICATION (The house can be like this...)

DIRECTION (I will build the house)

ORGANITZATION (I need and look for materials)

    CONSTRUCTION (The house is done)

From an imperceptible feeling we have moved to a physical reality. These stepsillustrate what the 5 elements from a very subtle energy go through phaseswhere energy is densified to end up being a material reality:

    ETHER

    AIR

    FIRE

    WATER

    EARTH

The earth, form, expresses the content. The content, substance, givesmeaning to form. The 5 elements leave the 5 senses and five fingers. Allcreation arises from the combination of the 5 elements. The 5 elements arebehind essential plant nutrients such as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and othertrace elements.

SOME BASIC QUESTIONSHere are the answers of agriculture polarity to some basic questions:

What is a plant?A plant is a living thing that plays a role in the ecosystem. This is true on aphysical level, and also subtle levels. Like the man, the plant is a conscious

being and your needs are not only material, it also has more subtle needs self-realization, membership or estimation.

What is a garden? From the point of view of polarity agriculture the garden is a living community.Every being has a role to play, from the smallest microbe to the largestvegetable and man. A garden is a physical system, a set where partssymbiotically relate to a common goal. Man, plants, animals act together sothat each part of the ecosystem works for the common good. Many agriculturalschools work from this point of view, from organic farming to permaculture.

But living things are a physical part and energetic part. At the subatomic level, there is no difference between things, everything is energy in motion. Theenergy gives life to matter, like the electricity gives power to a motor. Asimportant as physical integration is energy integration. This integration is theresult of a process, after which the garden becomes a true community of livingbeings. The farmer is a server of this community, is a servant of life.

According to Dr.. Stone, people make involution process in the field and aprocess of evolution towards more spiritual levels. The farmer helps the growth

of living things to a physical level, but also wants to strengthen theseprocesses of evolution and involution of living things, from simple microbe inthe largest tree.

From this point of view, a garden is a community of living things that make aprocess towards higher states of consciousness. The polarity farmer has tomake a personal work of continuous improvement.

Agriculture agriculture polarity is common sense. But the real and true sense issystemic. A practice that is "common sense" from one part of a system, it may

not make sense from all, from the whole. In the same way, which is commonsense on a physical level you may not have much sense from an energystandpoint.

Something makes sense when it makes sense for the whole, understood as the wider context that gives meaning to an item definedas a set of broader levels of perception of reality.

    WHAT'S POLARITY FARMING?

    - A low cost farmingPolarity Agriculture prioritizing the use of local resources. Energy consumptionis as low as possible. The basic raw material is organic matter. We practice notill, we don't need heavy machinery. Soil microorganisms and pedofauna

(worms, etc.) do the work for us. We just have to give the best conditions forthem to develop.

In the picture, a simple metal panel can serve to support the earth. Plants thatgo along the sides are placed on top of the earth to be composted.

Poles stuck in the ground, chicken wire, straw holding the earth and earth is allthat is needed to make a raised bed. This bed never does to be tilled and

receives constant input of organic matter on surface.

    - A conscious agriculture

"There is a primary error that man can commit, and is acting against the unit, this is due to selfishness. Therefore we can say that no more than a primaryaffliction, distress or illness. And as the action against the unit can be dividedinto different classes, you can also divide the disease, the result of these

actions in different groups corresponding to their causes. "Dr Edward Bach

According to Dr.. Stone, people make a process of involution in the on earthand a process of evolution towards more spiritual levels. The farmer helps thegrowth of living things to a physical level, but also wants to strengthen theseprocesses of evolution and involution of living things, from simple microbe tothe largest tree.

From this point of view, a garden is a community of living things that make a

process towards higher states of consciousness. And the first rule is not to goagainst the unit. As the Hippocratic Oath, "First Do No Harm", the first rule isdo no harm. More unconsciousness, the more chance we have of makingimproper practices or not respect nature. The harmony with natural processesshould be the goal.

We may use INTENTION awareness to stimulate plant growth. The mind is oneof the most basic tools of the farmer.

Cultivating a garden culture parallels the farmer himself. You have to

understand before acting. So polarity farmer is constantly wondering howthings work.

As an example, the farmer may wonder:- What I can universal laws apply and when.- What values and principles are best for living and farming.- What should I keep in mind cycles that affect plants?

At the subatomic level, everything is energy in motion. The polarity farmer

seeks energy flow at all times and contexts.

    - A sustainable agriculture.

In harmony with nature, agriculture has positive consequences in the short andlong term. From polarity agriculture we try increase health and vitality, because for us vitality is a fundamental principle. And this vitality, this health isunique, both for men and for plants and animals. There can be no health

without health man to other living beings.

Agriculture must be adapted to the place where it is, with a positive impact innatural ecosystems. In the future, agriculture will have to adapt to worse.Among other factors, agriculture will:- Reduce your intake of oil.- Reduce water consumption.- Pick up less land.- Adapting to climate less stable.- Adapting to a lower genetic diversity.

is a plant that, together with potato, could eradicate hunger in many cities andurban environments.

    - An agriculture that feeds and cares for the soil.

"If we grow in true love and respect for the natural power of the soil, the soilwill work up to a surprising degree." Mokichi Okada

Every civilization, however high its buildings, is based on the top 3 cm of soil.

When the humus in the soil is gone, the man leaves the earth. The soil has ahigh capacity for regeneration and transformation materials depending on theneed for maintenance of life. Polarity agriculture mimics natural processespassing forests to increase fertility and crop yields. It will strengthen thecreative processes (pedogenesis) and soil regeneration. For Polarity farming isvery important biological activity done in the first layers of the earth. Soilmicrobial life and pedofauna brings energy to plants, and are capable to dobiological transmutations for providing the necessary elements to plant growt.Polarity agriculture works with charcoal, microorganisms, worms, fungi ...

The tillage disturbs or kills microbial life that is the source of fertility. Soil is aliving system complex and fragile, one wrong action can waste years of workwell done. The crop residues have to return to the soil, organic matter and soilare the raw materials of agriculture polarity. Work the soil should be theminimum and optimal.

    Wool Mulching in garlic cultivation

A healthy soil produces healthy plants and healthy people. Chemical farmingnurtures the plant, only. Organic farming nourishes the soil and the plant withthe food it needs. The polarity farmer nourishes the soil and the plant atdifferent levels, from the most subtle to the most materials.

    - An agriculture that cares for the water.

"Water is an entity as alive as carrots or tomatoes you grow. Develop andnurture a personal relationship with the water is as important as gardening.Requires care and love" Melanie Evans

Water is not simply an item to dissolve nutrients from the ground or to providemoisture to the plants. From the energy viewpoint, water is a carrier ofinformation. Emoto Masaru work showing changes in water ice crystals when itis subjected to positive or negative influences. Water should be programmed tobe able to bring life to the living. Water devitalized, dead, can affect our crops.Water management, in terms of quantity and quality, is an important factor foragriculture polarity.

Rain water should be as far as possible a major source for the irrigation water. This can be achieved with a comprehensive storm water management and

farming techniques that minimize irrigation needs.

The egg-shaped tanks create an energetic movementin containing liquids that helps conservation.

From an energy standpoint, rainwater carries prana, a subtle energy thatnurtures all living things. Therefore, after a rain the plants grow more thanonly watering.
