CONCRETE POLISHING COUNCIL POLISHED CONCRETE AGGREGATE EXPOSURES Class 0 Burnished - No significant removal of surface material. Burnishing is applicable to smooth surfaces only. Class A Cream Minimal exposure of fine aggregates or sands. High FF requirement is criOcal to maintaining uniform appearance. Class B Fine Aggregates (Salt & Pepper) Cut depth of ~1/16 of an in inch exposes fines and sand, no larger aggregate seen. Class C Medium Aggregates Cut depth of ~1/8 of an inch exposing small to medium aggregate. All surface paste is removed. Class D Large Aggregates Cut depth of ~1/4 of an inch, exposing coarse aggregate similar in appearance to terrazzo. Class Random Exposure When opening an older or exisOng floor, unknown mix design and placement will reveal random exposure.
