CONCRETE POLISHING COUNCIL POLISHED CONCRETE AGGREGATE EXPOSURES Class 0 – Burnished - No significant removal of surface material. Burnishing is applicable to smooth surfaces only. Class A – Cream – Minimal exposure of fine aggregates or sands. High FF requirement is criOcal to maintaining uniform appearance. Class B – Fine Aggregates (Salt & Pepper) – Cut depth of ~1/16 of an in inch exposes fines and sand, no larger aggregate seen. Class C – Medium Aggregates – Cut depth of ~1/8 of an inch exposing small to medium aggregate. All surface paste is removed. Class D – Large Aggregates – Cut depth of ~1/4 of an inch, exposing coarse aggregate similar in appearance to terrazzo. Class – Random Exposure – When opening an older or exisOng floor, unknown mix design and placement will reveal random exposure.
