Stainless Steel Tube Processing

Laser Light Technologies can achieve virtually burr-free cuts in stainless steel tubing of various gauges and wall thicknesses. Feature sizes as small as 5um and kerf widths of less than 10um can be achieved with our state of the art micromachining systems. Examples of our capabilities include straight or angled through-cuts, micro hole drilling, cutting of geometric patterns such as saw tooth edges or spiral cuts on tips, creation of struts or expansion

Utilizing flexible staging, LLTI will design a system to handle pre-cut tubing or rolls of tubing to be cut during the feature machining process.

Cleanroom Facilities

Laser Light Technologies has multiple cleanroom areas in our plant. Virtually all micromachining processes are carried out in soft wall cleanrooms that are class 1000 or better. Additionally, we utilize class 100 or better laminar flow benches and ionized airflow assisted packaging to ensure compliance to FDA standards.

The latest addition to our facility is a 1100 square foot modular cleanroom, a portion of which has been designated for a specific customer process. This facility has been constructed as to allow for future expansion and currently has approximately 500 square feet that can be allocated to a new customer process at a classification as required. It features state of the art automated cleaning processes and provides us additional capacity to perform a wider variety of post process operations such as assembly and packaging of sensitive parts.

Cardiovascular

Laser Light Technologies, Inc. employs state of the art micromachining systems for production of many types of Vascular devices. Our capabilities include cutting medical tubing (stainless steel, polymers and composites) with precise features and complex geometries, as well as machining polymer films to precise tolerances.

We are also experienced in machining parts for MEMS devices, which are utilized in new miniaturization technology for pacemakers and medical monitoring equipment.

Microfluidic Devices

Laser machining is a critical component in creating microfluidic slides, cell separation tools and fluid sampling wells. Laser Light Technologies utilizes a variety of laser systems to machine polymer films, glass slides and other materials with features as small as 5 microns, small enough to separate out a single red blood cell, which has an average diameter of 7um. With new technology we are integrating today, we will be able to go even smaller.

Marking and Engraving

Laser Light Technologies, Inc. has its roots in marking and engraving. While we have grown and expanded into high tech laser micromachining, we still maintain a variety of engraving and marking systems capable of processing large volumes of parts for the medical industry.

We can mark virtually any type of material, including polymers, stainless steel, nitinol, platinum just to name a few. We utilize flexible tooling stages to allow for any size or shaped part that you might need to me marked. In addition to marking logos, part numbers or serial numbers, we can label your parts with sequentially numbered 2D bar codes that can be scanned and read by inventory systems.

Contract Manufacturing Services

Laser Micromachining equipment is expensive and processes can be very complex. Let Laser Light Technologies show you how outsourcing your micromachining needs can enhance your product quality while reducing your manufacturing costs. Laser micromachining is all that we do, and we pride ourselves in our ability to develop processes designed specifically for your needs.

Once we understand your application and the volume production needs, our engineering team will work to integrate a system just for your application. If the volumes justify it, we will develop highly automated systems to provide the highest throughput possible. Our quality department will work with you to develop and maintain standards for product sampling, batch certification and tracking. We will adapt to your supply chain to accommodate prefabricated parts or machine complete parts to your specifications and delivery schedule.

As a ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer, we take great pride in delivering a quality experience in every phase of operations. We incorporate Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methodology to maintain the highest levels of process efficiency and

manufacturing methodology to maintain the highest levels of process efficiency and look for ways to continually improve.

Clean Room Post Processing and Packaging

In our facilities, we have two isolated clean rooms. One is class 1000, and our newest and largest Clean Room is certified to class 100. Working in this environment we can provide post process cleaning and product packaging that meets all but the strictest FDA requirements for medical devices.

Testing and Measuring Systems

Vision systems are utilized when possible to ensure proper part positioning during machining as well as to verify quality and craftsmanship after machining. We take great care in configuring our systems to meet and exceed your high standards.

Post machining inspection of parts is performed on a variety of optical systems to measure feature sizes, positioning and spacing. Inspection programs can be customized to meet customer needs or we will utilize industry standard sampling and inspection procedures.
