The POLYTRAXX system achieves superior results without the environmental limitations and increased disposal cost typically associated with non-aqueous fluids. The POLYTRAXX system offers a field-proven alternative to oil-base drilling fluids, delivering the drilling rates required without the environmental and economic limitations. The POLYTRAXX system provides the best of both worlds without sacrificing drilling performance while enhancing environmental acceptability which helps reduce overall project costs. The POLYTRAXX system comprises four synergistic products. A polyamine-based system provides the primary inhibition, while a patented acrylamide polymer imparts secondary inhibition and encapsulation. A blend of surfactants serve as the lubricant and ROP enhancer with xanthan gum functioning as the main viscosifier. The POLYTRAXX system was developed with consideration of different lithologies, the background of the field, mechanical condition of the well, costs and the optimal performance when drilling. The POLYTRAXX system can be used on land or offshore. This system maximizes the stability of the open hole in highly reactive clay formations and can help avoid clay/ gumbo accretion and bit balling. This system was designed to have a high tolerance to contaminants as well as a lower consumption of non-renewable resources such as water. It also minimizes the friction coefficient factor. The POLYTRAXX system is easy to mix, maintain and recycle. The POLYTRAXX system is highly inhibitive to reactive clays. POLYTRAXX exhibits superb lubricity characteristics for enhanced penetration rates, particularly in directional well paths, while consistently reducing lost circulation and delivering a stable wellbore. The POLYTRAXX system has stable properties and is environmentally friendly. This system does not require as much equipment, manpower and secondary processing as other drilling fluid systems. In both the lab and field, POLYTRAX has been proven to be an economic alternative even for other premium water- base drilling fluid systems. Polyamine (Inhibitor)

TRAXX TC A blend of surfactants. Rate of penetration enhancer. A concentration of 2% v/v provides good lubrication with low values of COF and a high ROP and thermal stability.

ROP Enhancer – Lubricant

ISO-DRILL™ A readily dispersible acrylamide polymer of high molecular weight. Stabilizes and encapsulates cuttings. This easy dispersible eliminates the possibilities of “fish eyes” formations.

Encapsulator/Inhibitor

NOV XAN D Clear Xanthan gum of high performance, it is the system’s primary viscosifier. It produces high viscosities at low shear rates and high gel strengths.
