The pipe-in-pipe insulation plant is housed
within our pipe mill complex situated close
to the deepwater port of Hartlepool ndash enabling
direct supply of pre-assembled pipe joints ready
for offshore S-Lay In addition to pipe-in-pipe
assembly Tata Steel also supplies components
to complete the line These include intermediate
bulkheads waterstops and field joint materials
Our complete pipe-in-pipe system includes
bull Inner pipe ndash from our own mills or other
quality assured subcontractors
bull HFI outer pipe ndash cut to match inner pipe
lengths and optimise pipe yields
bull Outer pipe bevelling and coating (PPPE)
bull Injected PU foam insulation
bull Installation and TIG welding of outer pipe

bull Field joint materials and waterstop bulkheads
