The Beginning Pompey was born in Rome on
September 29th, 106 B.C.E. His birth name was Gnaeus Pompeius. Pompey’s father, Pompeius Strab, was
a wealthy man. But he was hated by the public.

HIS FIRST TRIUMPH His first triumph was a victory over
King Hiarbas. This triumph was in Numidia in 79 B.C. His triumph took the space of 2 days! Pompey planned his triumph to
coincide with his forty-fifth birthday.

EU’sPompey abused power because he used the
army to fight, kill , and conquer everything and everyone he could.
Pompey contributed to the history of the world by being a consul, forming the First Triumvirate, and fighting many well known wars.

The End Pompey died on September 28th , 48 B.C. He retreated to Egypt, after he was
