Pomeranians descended from sled dogs in Iceland. Many people thinkthey are frail because they are small, but they can withstand subzero temps.

“Pomeranian” comes from Pomerania, Germany. (“Lindhorst” comes from Germany too.) :)

The Pomeranian weighed 35 lbs at one time.

Pomeranians were not well known until Queen Victoria fell in love with one in 1888. The queen was buried next to “Marco”.

Famous people like Michaelangelo, Mozart, Sir Isaac Newton, Elvis Presley and Bill Cosby owned Pomeranians.

Did you know there is an entire club/society dedicated to Pomeranians? The American Pomeranian Club has been established since 1911.

Pomeranians improve humans quality of life because they provide companionship. They have human-like qualities. They are child-like, funny, patient and happy to give their

owners as much attention as they receive.

Pomeranians love to keep busy and need environments where they can constantly learn new stuff.

Pomeranians are super intelligent. Some people have the misconception that

Pomeranians are not intelligent because of their size.

Poms love car rides. Dogs love riding in the car because it feels like they are going to hunt.

Companionship is important for Pomeranians since they descend from pack dogs/ sled dogs.
