differently and are available in vari-ous price ranges. Selecting the right product can be overwhelming.

The staff at Leisure World special-izes in guiding our customers to the perfect product by asking the ap-propriate questions and providing an on-site evaluation at no charge. We have products that cover the entire spectrum of performance, size and style without compromising quality and efficiency.

In addition, we specialize in designing and installing chimney systems to be used with our wood burning prod-ucts. We stock a large inventory of Class A chimney pipe in both 6” and 8” diameter as well as the other com-ponents needed to safely install a flue system for a wood burning appliance.

pellet & corn BurninGIf you’re one of the many people who don’t want to pay the gas company,

love the feel of wood heat, but simply don’t want to deal with the mess and work associated with true wood burning, look no further than one of our many pellet or corn stoves.

Wood pellet and corn burning stoves both work in a very similar fash-ion—at the touch of a button. All the user must do is keep the stove fueled (generally adding a 40 pound bag per day) and adjust the fuel feed to the desired rate.

The term ‘out of sight, out of mind’ pertains to most pool owners when the pool is closed for the season. We encourage you to think proactively about your pool in the off season and schedule as much needed service work as possible during this time. While not all services can be performed in the winter, the following is a list of winter services we can provide to prepare your pool for the 2009 swimming season.

• Replacing o-rings and gaskets, baskets, etc.

• Changing sand in the filter

• Troubleshooting noisy pump motors, leaky seals,

filter valves and key covers

• Re-plumbing any leaky pipe joints, pump, or filter leaks

Remember, with probable price increases next year, any work done sooner rather than later not only gets your pool prepared for the season, but it likely will be less expensive.

Off SeasonPool Work

2008 marks a new beginning for Leisure World's gas grills. As you may know, for many years we’ve sold Du-cane grills. Ducane’s motto has long been “buy your last grill first.” Ducane grills have traditionally been made

from premium materials including aluminum and stainless steel.

Recently, Ducane was acquired by grill manufacturing giant Weber. Weber has dramatically changed the look of the Ducane line but left one thing alone—the quality—which is better than ever. We think the new look is much more contemporary and appealing. The Weber/Ducane merger also gives us access to the full line of Weber offerings.

Our favorite Weber grill is the Weber “Q.” This compact tailgating grill is the best value in our entire store. Retail-ing for only $160, this all-aluminum grill with a cast iron grate is truly a marvel of quality and value. Come

check one out today—after all, it’s looking like the tailgating at Arrow-head this year may be the high point of activities related to the Chiefs!

While you’re here, check out the two new lines of Ducane grills—Merid-ian and Affinity. Meridian grills, made entirely of stainless steel, are the nicest and most advanced grills on the market. Standard features include a side burner, marble-surfaced side workspaces, electronic ignition, rotis-serie burner with infrared burner, and a halogen light in a grill starting at around $800.

For most of the 2008 swimming sea-son, chemical prices remained stable. By the end of the year, manufacturers began announcing price increases for 2009. We are currently expecting several price increases on pool related items including chemicals, equipment, and parts.

Leisure World is absorbing many of these increases. More importantly, we are doing everything in our power to find ways to keep any price increases to a minimum. We are actively work-ing with our distributors to secure high quality products at lower prices earlier in the season to help avoid later increases.
