Public Transport Maps• Hard copies of the maps• The most popular map by far is the underground
map• The London Underground map also has the public
transport zones marked• The rail map show all the overground services• Most visitors use the Underground to get around
the sights of London
London Trains
• Train network in London is very comprehensive• You can now use the Oyster Card
Metro and Light Rail• Transport for London operates two railway
systems• The larger is the London Underground• The smaller is the automated Docklands Light
Railway
Ferry• A ferry is a boat or ship• Ferry is sometimes called a water bus• Used to carry passengers and sometimes their
vehicles
Motorcycle
• Motorcycles are used as public transportation• The motorcycles can be used singly• They can either be hired for personal trips
Pedicabs• The vehicle is pedal-driven by a driver• It is usually a tricycle• They are often used on a for hire basis• The passenger seats are usually located beside
the driver
Trams• System was the oldest in the world• The highly extensive tram lines disappeared• A new tram system was opened in 2000
