Project Location: Boston, MA

Project Description: The Green Walk celebrates the Ft. Point Channel Waterfront. The

space provides a uniqueness to the existing waterfront through a simple planting pallet

and striking LED design. The design also responds to the recent development fronting

the Boston Children�s Museum.

To further explore the edge, oversized steps to the water wrap the walk of the

eastern portion of the design.

A wide wooden bench wraps the southern side of the walk for users

to enjoy the waterfront.

Project Location: East Greenwich, RI

Project Description: The Greene School is a charter high school focused on ecological and sustainable practice. This campus design was developed

by a group of four students in the senior design studio. This design re! ects the importance of self, school, and society, a theme that is integrated

within the physical design as well as curriculum. This California style creates a campus with individual grade buildings as well as grade level outdoor

spaces and several campus wide outdoor learning spaces. Sustainable solutions were integrated throughout the campus with speci" c attention to

parking layout, energy use, building layout, and storm water solutions.

The above image highlights the campus core wrapped around

a subsequent quad space that will be used for ceremonies,

passive recreation and large school wide events. Each building

incorporates a greenhouse, green roof, weather station, and

outdoor classroom.

was channeled through

bioswales and collected

in large detention ponds

and constructed wetlands.

The housing cluster is comprised of 3 two bedroom units and 4 single bedroom units. The cluster is

oriented such that patios overlook an open space centrally located within the design. A series of trails

link the cluster to other amenities and features around the site. Each condo has two parking stalls

either the exception of the two end units which have one stall and a single car garage. Patios with

privacy walls create an outdoor space for each unit.

The design goal for Webster Commons is to emphasize existing features

and maximize open space. The building clusters are oriented such that

deck and patios are fronting the pond or open space. This borrowed

landscape facilitates grand yards and allows for an internal focus away from

vehicular circulation.

Three master plans were developed by a design studio; each to include a train station, a mixed use housing

development, sports complex, and park space.

Project Location: Bristol, RI

Project Description: As a capstone project, the task of creating a memorial park for domestic violence was presented. The concept was brought to the town of

Bristol by the Medeiros Family who lost a family member to domestic violence. An existing nine hole golf course was chosen for the site of the Medeiros Memo-

rial Park. As a former wetland, the site consisted of many constraint areas due to high water table and ! ooding. The concept for the design focused on remem-

brance, restoration, and rehabilitation. This concept applied to the sites physical condition as well as the visitors experience.
