Creating nontraditional spaces to collaborate, socialize, and work yields areas with implied boundaries. This allows the Haworth Showroom to remain open to guests and clients while also giving staff members a sense of privacy.

Employees can seek out the spaces that best meet both their task needs and individual needs for the moment.

Providing multi-functional spaces supports the agile workforce with independent decision making and an individual's control of privacy.

The design for the Elegant Coffee Shop was inspired by vintage Vogue and bold patterns. The floor plan is both elegant in the layout and repetition of furniture pieces. The contrasting materials and patterns evoke a sense of timelessness and create a feeling of chic elegance.

The community core is a key location in the REI store. It is a multi-functional area for lectures, classes, and a technology hub. It is in the very center of the store, nurturing the company's values through the implementation ofsustainable planted wall systems known as biowalls.

The gridded ceiling structure is located in areas where the biowall extends into the ceiling, further enhancing the sense of bringing nature indoors.
