ABSTRACT RENDERINGAR 491 Prof. KingFor this project, we were given this abstract image and asked to render it as an architectural structure. I extuded all the major elements to different heights and used the other elements as bridges to link the major elements together.

BARCELONAPAVILLIONAR 491 Prof. KingThe Barcelona Pavilion by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was and still is considered one the greatest exploration of the usage of open spaces. In this project, we were asked to produce a 3D rendering of this building. This included using our best ability to render the patterned marble walls located within, and to explore lighting and shadows.

FALLING WATERAR 491 Prof. KingWe were told to choose a famous structure and recreate a fully rendered 3D image of it. I chose to do Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright. This ended up being the most difficult project that I ever had to do. I obtained a picture of the floor plans and recreated the elevations from information I obtained when I visited the site. The major details, such as window mullions, balusters and railings were obtained through photographs and other descriptions I read about in books.

DayCareAR 411 Prof. BerensmannThis was my very first design projectGiven and empty lot in a neighborhood in Philadelphia, we had to conducta survey of the neighborhood and decidewhat we feel would be the best thing to build on this lot. Being that this was a highly residential area of middle class families, I that the best thing to build was a day carecenter. This is my design concept.

Thhis was my first experience using Google Sketch Up.I used it to create these elevationsand two sections respectfully. Though I did not get the exact result I was aiming for, this wasan experience that allowed me to add yet another useful application unto my resume.

When the class was asked to come up with designsfor an after work hangout lounge with both indoorand outdoor seating areas, I used a whiskey bottle asmy parti and the famous Haitian 5 star rhum as the name.I incorperated the shape of the bottles at the enterance toattract the after work crowd. I also designed my own table and provided detail drawings of the hardware used toinstall the tables.

As I learned more about Sketch Up, I usedit mor often to render projects with matrialsand backgrounds. These are images of theoutdoor seating area, and the bar. You cansee the chairs that I created and the tablesalong the wall.

MANHATTANHOUSEDesigned in 1950 and Lanmarked in 2007, TheManhattan House is an icon of Modernist Architecture. In 2009, the residence buildingstarted one of the largest renovation projects inthe city, and was taken back to its essentialframework an re-engineered. The companythat I am employed with obtained the contract to do all the mechanical systems from pipingto duct work. I was commissioned to designthe duct work and to produce shop drawingsfor each apartment. These a a few samples.
