About the Project: Asheville’s River Arts district breathes new life into a once exhausted area. The Arson brewery’s aesthetic moves towards the past, present, and future. Although the project was filled with limitations and remnants of what once stood there, the new build integrates these aspects and celebrates its rich history.

“...remains as a beacon of hope...”

About the Project: Despite being near Downtown New Orleans, The Ninth Ward has a persona of its own. The community’s emphasis on family and unity was tested throughout Hurricane Katrina, as well as the aftermath and rebuilding still occurring today. While it remains as a beacon of hope, it shows limitations from businesses to schools. The Ninth Ward Youth Center would serve to help heal the area, while simultaneously celebrating what they hold most important.

About the Project: The installation of the Charlotte Light Rail serves as a medium to tie together the various neighborhoods in the area. The South End in particular contains an interesting mixture of housing & commercial spaces and bonds the ideas of urban living with communal sensibilities.
