tWith these small homes it was critical to minimizethe circulation spaces in order to maximize the livingspaces. The 12' unit uses the fold back stair whichcentralizes vertical circulation and allowing easyaccess to the other spaces of the home. The secondfloor shifts forward four feet, creating to equalbedrooms for the two children. The third floor shiftsback two feet, dividing spaces for a master bedroomand a study.

The 16’ unit being wider allowed for the use ofstraight stairs that were pushed aside. This moveagain minimizes circulation spaces and forms theliving spaces for a family of four. No shifts neededto occur in the plans as the stairs allowed for equallydivided bedrooms on the second floor as well as amaster bedroom for the parents on the top floor.
