Ÿ Line relate complimentary to the built form of Art’s bock 1, Art’s block 2 and Preforming art building which create transparency through the campus of my design intervention. Ÿ The unbuilt between the line correlate with the built form.Ÿ The structure having prominent built form Gandhi Bhavan, AC Joshi library, Student center where given more importance while designing.

Ÿ The nature is taken in to the structure to create openness and liveliness which was missing in the institute.Ÿ The focus was on transition spaces to feel the openness for an idea.

Ÿ South west side of classroom

Ÿ Punjab University has highlighted AC Joshi library in center so same concept is applied in building, the part extruding is constructed in exposed concrete to respond to the elevation of AC Joshi library.

Ÿ Fins are use to defuse light.

Ÿ North east side class room

Ÿ Colours are evolved from primary colours, to break the monotony of the fabric of the institute. I have incorporated this colour theory to add life in the campus.

Streets for People by the People

Ÿ Street of the city are not only the carriers of traffic flow but play a major role as asocial space that promotes social interaction further strengthening the socio-cultural fabric of the place. It is the most democratic space of the city where every user of the city has equal reight and hence it is the most crucial space of the city.Ÿ On this background this workshop aimed at developing sensitivity amongst students as well as citizens about this socio-cultural signifinance of streets and how it could be achieved through the idea of ‘Sustainable Urban Mobility’ that encourages the pedestrian friendly environment and public modes of transport over private modes of transport.
