STATEMENT

Through my work I evolve and I create my own space.

Thanks to it I can connect with the spectator and take it to different worlds, trespassing the limits of

time and space, going through subconscious and creating awareness.

I do in every piece a proposal, based on a conductive thread that is necessary to discover and to

learn how to read. The value of my proposal is based on the story that tells every piece, and thefeeling that holds.

Through the translucent forms that I print on my work based on resins and pigments, I create a

universe of possibilities, of capricious forms and changing backgrounds that also work as stage to

the starting who defines and balances the piece.

I mix elements of hyper realistic court in an dreamy context that I bathe with soft layers applied one

by one on textures formed by oils and resins that are harmonizing the piece.

In a same way I allow myself to play with the different intensities of the color until I reach the light

dark of high place contrast that prints real drama on the work piece.

Christian Borbolla

Self-taught artist from Oaxaca is born on October 14, 1976.

He begins his artistic labor from early age of a spontaneous way in Oaxaca's city in the Mexican south-

east.

Showing a strong trend towards the figurative thing and sustained by an undeniable European classicism.

He has supported a firm line inside the figurative realism and forms a part of the new plastic generation

Oaxaquea, with a solid path of more than fifteen years in the artistic creation.

He establishes his tour with a ready long billiard cue of presentations.

Formation:

He joins to the "Free workshop of drawing " I circulate of Fine arts, Madrid, 1998.

Rufino Tamayo joins to the workshop of Engraving given by the teacher Mario Reyes the workshop of

plastic Arts, Oaxaca, 2008.

Special events:

In 1999 it penetrated into the wall painting and I reach his qualified work: "The Last Boundary" executedin the building of the Secretariat of Communications and Transport (SCT) of Oaxaca's city.

In 2006 he takes part as artist invited in the restoration of the principal altarpiece of the temple of San

Juan Tabaa located in the north saw of Oaxaca's condition, monument of the 15th century where it

recreates the whole sacred work.
