DAO MING CHANG

I am curious about everything, and always point to excellence as much as I can. During the professional life in Studio Secchi-Vigano, I am able to cope with the tasks in an international team, especially between different cultures and disciplines. Thanks to the experience of being an independent architect, I managed to lead a team, to develop the project, to motivate the colleagues for reaching the goal, to organize the program and timing of work, to negotiate the contract, and to create an efficient communication whether to the client or to the public.

Having a passion on design, I contribute my profession to the works from urban design, architectural design, to detail design of public space. I have been collaborating with international teams on projects world-widely in France, Italy, Belgium, and Russia with Studio Secchi-Vigano’. In this studio I have fully participated in projects such as Grand Paris (2008-2009), Concept Competition of Moscow City Agglomeration (2012), Residential quarter ZAC La Courrouze in Rennes (2008-2012), etc. In ZAC La Courrouze I was in charge of a section of 264 housing units in an area of 6 hectare: My role was an “architecte-urbaniste” for works from masterplan of housing to detail design of public space. Thus I have a rich experience of complete procedure of urban project, negotiating with clients, visiting the construction site, coordinating with engineers and other project architects and landscape architects.

Since November 2012, I am the co-founder of B•OND Architects and Urban Planners, selected studio of Milan’s New Generation festival 2013. I was a teaching fellow in the Polytechnic of Milan and University IUAV of Venice.
