During my degree at the School of Art and Design in Valencia, I did many academic projects related to various topics and for various purposes, design studios, for example, designed to understand and interpret the needs of a company and those in which their purpose has been the self production, trying to design and produce products with limited means.

In these few pages are shown some of the most representative projects over recent years.

Page 13: Portfolio (English)

Tapa is a self-production project whose purpose was to design a simple product, with a touch of irony, which could be produced with a small budget.

Tapa is a saucepan cap / auxiliary plate, designed for smaller kitchens, which are becoming more common, where there is little space to cook comfortably.

Made of ceramic and olive tree wood, Tapa is a curious solution to the problem of space in the kitchen.

Selection for IKASART EASD 2011.

TRAY is a self-production project whose purpose was to design a product to help people with limited mobility. We had to do the project in a simple way because it had to be produced with a small budget.

We thought about people in wheelchairs, who have to ask for help to others when they want to have a coffee or any other drinks in their work place, because it is dangerous to carry something like that in their legs.

So we designed “Tray”. It is a folding auxiliary tray that it is designed to be placed on the armrest of a wheelchair. This way, people with disabilities, can carry small objects, food, drinks or any other object without help.

KRU is a project which has been developed in the workshop “Dinner Light” taught by JM Ferrero of estudi{H}ac and in collaboration with recognized furniture company VONDOM.

This is a set of outdoor tables. The top of the table has a texture inspired on nature , which forms a set of holes which are intended to hold food and drink.

Furthermore we designed a champagne bucket and a bowl, which fit into each of the holes of the table, so the food handling is more comfortable and hygienic.

Made of rotational molding, the tables are suitable for all types of spaces, from porches and gardens to hotel terraces or special events. Besides, both elements can be illuminated.

capitán sonoraBranding + Packaging. 2012

Page 27: Portfolio (English)

Capitán Sonora is a branding and packaging project developed for a Spanish pop rock band.

The group is the result of an evolution of an earlier group called “El gato tarumba”, less mature and experienced than today. So, we wanted to transmit that evolution with a simple and serious brand.

The mark has an isotype which contains the initials. The S of Sonora and C of Capitán, are represented by simplifying three six-pointed stars (gallon of captain).

The isotype is reinforced by the logotype on a Sans-serif typeface. The result is a clear and simple brand.

Buddha Antei is a new concept bar open in the popular “Zona 4 Caminos” in a little village called Hellin (Spain). The establishment decided to mix the activity of a pub with a Spanish tapas bar, so depending on the day of the week the establishment carries out an activity or another.

Our mission was to design, logotypes, posters, tapas menu (each week a different menu), main menu, etc. The project also included the positioning of the place in social networks.

coreLamp. 2012Almerich

Page 37: Portfolio (English)

Core is a lamp designed for Almerich S.L.

Almerich reported us the need for a lamp that could include all sorts of contemporary environments. In response to this need, we created a versatile and unobtrusive lamp, which can be installed in all types of environments.

Its strong lines give it character, compensating for its small size.

Made with synthetic resin with marble dust.

During the design process of CORE, Almerich had the need to create a 3D library for their website.

That is how Almerich asked us to create a 3D library for their design lamps. So, the work consisted of creating 3D files (. Iges, .3ds ...) forevery lamp.

We were chosen to create the design and installation of the stand in colaboration with Nacho Lavernia Amador and Adriá Espi.
