TheCourse,ComputerGraphicArtist,fitsmyaspirationsandgoals.Itamazesmehowasimpledrawinggainlifeandpersonality,tellingastoryjustbyitself,makingpeoplerelatetoacharacterandevenfeellikethey’repartofthisnewworld.

LastyearIhavelearnedthateverythingyoudoinyourlife,youcantakesomethingusefuloutof it, Icanassurethatthankstothe3years IstudiedPharmacyandthe4years I’veworkedasamodel.InthesecompletelydifferentareasIhavelearnedanatomy,compositionandlightingtechniques.AllthesebeforeIhavestartedstudyingGraphicDesign,whereIhadadrawingclassanddiscoveredtheloveofdrawinginmyself,whichturnedintoadecisionofdoingitforaliving.

ThenItookCGMA’sCharacterDesignforAnimation,soasstartedanextradrawingclassinastudio.Furthermore,inmycurrentundergraduatecourseIhavelearnedsomeadvancedPhotoshopandIllustrator,andaverage3DSMaxandAfterEffects.

Ibelieveeverybodywho’sinthisareadreamsofworkingforbigstudioslikeDisney,PixarorCartoonNetwork,myselfincluded.Iwanttobeabletomakepeopleexperiencedifferentfeelings,that’swhatIalwaysseekinmywork,mostlywiththeuseofthecolorsandlightcontrast.MybiggestinspirationistheCartoonNetwork’sGravityFalls,whichinmyopinion,doesthebestuseofcolorandlightI’veevenseenonTV.Ialsolovethepainterlyeffectinthebackground,com-posedwiththevectorizedcharacters.

IabsolutelyloveWesAnderson’ssymmetriccompositionsandcolorsonthemovies,plusthealmostdarkcomedy.OtherofmyfavoritemoviesareDrive(2011)andNeverEndingStory(1984),thefirstisafullclassofcompositionandlightcontrast,beingveryimmersive;asthese-condhasanamazingandinspirationsolvingstorythathasadeepmessageaboutimagination.Ireadasmanychildren’sbooksasIcan,butmymostrecentpicksareapop-upversionofBeautyandtheBeastandLunaClaraeApoloOnze(writtenbymyfavoriteBrazilianauthor).LittleBigPlanetseriesandDotA2aremyfavoritegames,evenI’llalwayshaveaplaceforRagnarökandPokémoninmyheart.

LETTER OF INTENTION

AllninetiesDisneyanimationsarepartofwhoIam;TheLittleMermaidwasthefirstanimationthatIeverwatched,Istillhavethetapeonabookshelfinmygrandma’shouse.IusedtolivewithherwhenIwasachildandshealwaysreadtometheGrimmbrothersandAndersen’sfairytales,sincethenIcontinuedtofeedthistasteforchildren’sstories,eventhoughIwouldne-verimaginethatIcouldhaveachancetoworkwiththat,Ialwaysthoughtthatpeoplewhoworkwithanimationdrawssincetheyareyoungkids.

I,whostartedtodosketchesduringmyPharmacyclasses,boredwithallthat,deci-dedtotraveltoChinaworkingasafashionmodel.I,stubbornandcuriousasTheLittleMermaid,understoodthattheworldandlifewasn’tjustthatandstillisn’t.ThereIlearnedtoholdontothelittlethings,sincethenIwatchoverit.Moreover,IwasabletoearnsomemoneyandIrealizedthatIdon’twanttodependonmyfamily’smoney.Here,I’mworkingasaGraphicDesignerandIllustratorandwhenIgetthere,I’lllookforajoborinternshipandcontinuemyworkasamodel,inadditionIwilltrytoreceiveagovernmentassistance.

ThatisthereasonwhyIhavechosentheAnimationWorkshop,itisthefeetIdreamtohave,thisoldnewdream.Evenmorethatitisplacedinoneofmostappealinglocationstomyinspirationandmotivation:Denmark.
