choosing a location:

add more personality to your photos by choosing the location add more personality to your photos by choosing the location

of your couple session! i love when a couple suggests having

their photos taken in a spot that is sentimental to them, as it

makes everyone more relaxed and allows them to focus on

each other throughout the shoot. is there a spot that you went

on for your first date? a cute local coffee shop where your first

kiss was exchanged?

natural, casual, romantic

“sunday best,” while others gravitate toward bold patterns & a more casual

style. my goal is to capture you in your element, so feel free to get creative

with your wardrobe! (limit 1-2 outfits per session.)

“The days are long, but the years are short.” - the happiness project

Innocence. Honesty. That goofy face they’re always making. The way their

nose wrinkles when they giggle. Their shy, daydreaming stare. The way

their hair won’t lay just right. These are the things I strive to capture. I

enjoy providing a fun and relaxed experience that will capture the person-

alities that are unique to each family.

My goal is to capture you and your family at your happiest, which, with

children, may call for potty breaks, snack breaks, clothing changes, or

just time to settle down and get used to me and my camera... but also not

*so* much time that they’ve completely had it. I want the experience to be

fun, not a chore! Please let me lead the way and ask you if I need help.

No need for threats or bribes, although I may have a few bribes up my

own sleeve. I will work at their level and their pace. Sometimes, we’ll work

one-on-one, away from the pressures of “performing” for Mom and Dad. I one-on-one, away from the pressures of “performing” for Mom and Dad. I

will do a mixture of formal and candid shots in order to capture you and

your family as you really are. I might play and run alongside your child

and treat the session as a play date if it means I’ll capture them in their

natural element. Real smiles. Real memories.

a mix of lifestyle, sentimental, & fun

are they really necessary?

it is one thing to view your digital photos on a computer, but it is something entirely different to see, touch, and flip through pages filled with hand-picked images from your portrait session. this is a great way to entertain guests in your home (albums also make perfect gifts for the family, hint hint). folios are also a contemporary alternative for showing off and switching around your favorite images for display, not to mention my PERSONAL favorite!

the process:the process:

for albums, to keep the process as smooth as possible, i start off by selecting images that portray your family genuinly, and fit my artistic style. from there, i’ll design your spreads and send the mockups over via email. from there, you will have the chance to make one round of edits to the design. additional edits are charged

accordingly (ask us for more details, if you have questions about your album).for folios, at your ordering appointment, you will have the chance to choose your 20 images for folios, at your ordering appointment, you will have the chance to choose your 20 images
