Our Community, Our NeighborsA Year-Long Project with Artist Laura Hunt

Our Community, Our Neighbors is a one-year creative challengebeing undertaken by artist Laura Hunt to bring the humanity ofthose who have experienced homelessness to light. Everyone has astory, and Laura will make the proactive connection between herart and the community issue of living without a place to callhome. In September 2019, Laura will begin her process ofportraying 26 individuals, with 26 stories over 52 weeks. Join us aswe embark on this important journey. Portraits will be rendered in a contemporary style using mixedmedia on wood panels. Once the creation phase has beencompleted, the portraits will be gathered for a public exhibit,including a private reception for portrait volunteers and projectsupporters as honored guests.
