REGISTERED NURSE DIV ONE GRADE 3
The RN Div. 1 Grade 3 will provide care to clients and their carers within an interdisciplinary care model. The RN Div.1 Grade 3 will at all times demonstrate professional and ethical practice relevant to the palliative care field.
Essential Education Qualifications/Competencies: Certificate, Diploma or Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Post-Graduate qualification, working towards or preparedness to work towards same, in palliative care, oncology, community nursing or related field
Previous experience in community-based palliative care
Previous experience in an inpatient palliative care unit
Current Nursing Registration Certificate
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
Current Victorian driver’s licence, good driving record and willingness to use own vehicle in line with EPC Process Map 1761 – Motor Vehicle Use of

Appendix 2 DUTIES REMUNERATED AT GRADE 3B LEVEL ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAILY CLIENT CO-ORDINATION:
Allocates client load to nursing team members recognising the boundaries of legal practice and individual ability
Ensures documentation of planned visits, mobile phones and vehicle in the staff scheduler for all staff
On weekends, liaises with colleagues at other team sites to manage workload effectively
Leads the daily client review meeting as required, encouraging participation of all team members
Evaluates staff numbers against client load for the following day, liaises with the Clinical Nurse Consultant on staffing numbers

REGISTERED NURSE DIVISION 1 GRADE 3 - AFTER HOURS

AGED CARE – REGISTERED NURSE GRADE 3
The Aged Care RN will provide care to clients and their carers within an interdisciplinary care model and is responsible for
accepting, prioritising and allocating referrals from residential aged care facilities and disability homes. The Aged Care RN
will at all times demonstrate professional and ethical practice relevant to the palliative care field.
Essential Education Qualifications/Competencies:
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Previous experience in aged care
Current Nursing Registration Certificate
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
