About the Role This role provides administrative support and assistance with basic research tasks for the RAQ research team. Some of the common tasks of this role include assistance with data entry, survey administration, data cleaning, simple data coding, qualitative data coding, document editing and proof reading.
Key Responsibilities
Research Administrative Responsibilities
Implement methods of data collection such as administering surveys and following oral interview scripts.
Document editing such as formatting, proof-read, and findings and entering references for research reports and publications, questionnaires, ethics and grants documents.
Simple data management such as recording and entering data, tracking data in participant spreadsheets, simple data coding and data cleaning, and running simple summary reports of data.
Conduct simple qualitative coding (such as to written transcripts) and behavioral coding skills (such as to audio recordings).
Other Role Responsibilities
Plan, monitor and provide regular, timely progress reports to the reporting manager.
Follow best practice research management protocols, RAQ procedures and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, 2007.
Consult and collaborate with key stakeholders (both internally and externally) as required by reporting manager.

Other Organisational Responsibilities
Provide secretariat support as directed by Manager of Research.

Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the reporting manager.

About You To be successful in this position you will have:
Required Highly Desired
Qualifications Enrolled in an undergraduate program such as psychology, business, IT, or a related field, e.g. social work, behavioural or social sciences or health science.
Experience Experience in data collection, data entry, interviewing, survey administration, in either a university, clinical or organisational setting.
Knowledge Knowledge of research design and data collection methods.
Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards (e.g., Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, 2007).
Skills Microsoft Excel and Word formatting
Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Beginner skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques in statistical programs (e.g., SPSS).
Project management skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in areas such as report writing, and in the ability to translate theoretical, technical, and statistical concepts into accessible reports.
