Delegate:

The United States of America is a peace loving country. USA has been trying to reduce the amount of Nuclear Warheads in different countries to create a peaceful environment around the world. United States is a home to approximately 300,000,000 people. Therefore United States wants its citizen’s to live with safety and peacefully.

United States of America determines that the existence of weapons is the most dangerous legacy of the cold war. Now the cold war has ended, however the weapons have not disappeared yet. The United States of America would like to reduce their own nuclear stockpile and urge other countries like Russia, China, North Korea and Europe to do the same. "North Korea must know that the path to security and respect will never come through threats and illegal weapons,” said president Obama in his recent speech.

United States of America is a worried about terrorist holding nuclear weapons. “One Terrorist with a nuclear weapon could make a massive destruction,” Obama said. "Al-Qaeda has said it seeks a bomb. And that it would have no problem in using it. And we know that there is unsecured nuclear material across the globe."

President Obama and his allies want a new policy that is much closer to a declaration of no first use, making clear that the United States should not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states. United States and Russia have been trying to figure out a way to reduce nuclear warheads. United States wants to stop spreading nuclear warheads in countries, such as, North Korea, Iran and Pakistan. However, North Korea, Iran and Pakistan are involved in manufacture of nuclear warheads. If manufacture of nuclear warheads is not stopped it could possibly spread the use of nuclear warheads, and this may lead to a situation of devastating the world.

To sum up, the United States of America strongly agrees with the question of promoting nuclear disarmament. USA wants the security of their citizens as well as the whole world. They want to maintain a peaceful world. Therefore, they have been seeking different ways to urge countries to stop manufacture of nuclear weapons.
