Person 5 has the most to read (Applications of research drags on) so this has been taken into

consideration and they have slightly less to do later on.

Deadline: Friday Week 4 (11th

Feb)- we meet, everyone says what their document-sections

were about and this will allow us to move on!

2. Everyone compiles the main points from their reading of the document into 1/2 slides andsends these slides to Person 7 (Khalid)

Deadline: Sunday 13th

3. Everyone gathers newspaper articles relating to what the presentation document wasabout:

Person 1- 4 articles from The Times

Person 2- 4 articles from The Guardian

Person 3- 4 articles from The Independent

Person 4- 4 articles from the Daily Telegraph

Person 5- 3 articles from The Economist

Person 6- 3 articles from New Statesman

Person 7- 3 articles from the Spectator

Then each person needs to write an 80 word commentary on each of their articles. The

commentary should focus on the main points of the article and link them to the document,

course themes, social theorists etc. Any references used should be noted alongside each

separate commentary. Everyone needs to then upload their article commentaries to the

facebook group so we all have access.

In addition to this: Person 7 will compile the first half of PowerPoint presentation (what the

presentation document was about) from the slides each person previously sent. This will

then be sent to everyone in the group so that it can be reviewed.

Deadline: End of week 5 (Sunday 20th

Feb).

4. Person 6- write 500 word opening statement to the portfolio document (then upload tofacebook group)

Deadline: Friday week 6 (25th Feb)- we meet as a group to complete the PowerPoint

presentation and discuss content/who will say what etc. Please note: in order to do this

everyone should have been drawing gradual links between their article commentaries and

course themes- this will allow us to complete the PowerPoint presentation together in this

meeting.

5. Person 4- using uploaded documents on facebook group: collate and format portfoliodocument.

Person 1- from uploaded documents on facebook group: create reference list to go at the

end of the portfolio document then send to Person 4 to be added to work.

Deadline: End of week 6 (Sun 27th

We meet on Monday (28

th

Feb) to run through the PowerPoint presentation again and handover all our newspaper articles to Person 2 to be photocopied, put on A4 pages and stapled

to the back of the portfolio document (to be printed by Person 2 also). This will have to be a

morning meeting as we may be presenting later that day and/or we may also need to

actually submit our work later that day- although the precise deadline for this has not been

stated yet.
