Dr. Chandrasekhar. P. R is a mechanical engineer with tremendous experience in research and development. He has almost 37 years of teaching experience. He secured his bachelor’s degree in B.Sc Engg from M.A College of Engineering, which is affiliated to Kerala University, in 1970. He took M.Sc Engg (Hons), with specialization in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, in 1982 from REC Calicut. He got Ph.D in Agricultural Processing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1990. He has published many research papers in national and international journals. He has also presented papers at national and international conferences and seminars.Dr Chandrasekhar, a consultant on `Analytical Instrumentation’, has been a guide to CUSAT Research scholars, veterinary doctors and Oushadhi

Research Wing. He is an FIE (Fellow of Institution of Engineers -- India) and MISTE (Member of Indian Society for Technical Education). He was honoured with ICAR Senior Research Fellowship during the period 1986 – 1989. He has also got ICAR grants for establishing ARIS Cell and Central Laboratories at Kerala Veterinary University. He was a member in the committee constituted by the Government of Kerala for “Survey of Instruments in Universities and Colleges”. He authored the chapter `Fluidized bed puffing of rice’ in the book `Agricultural Engineering’, published by A.A Balkema, Rotterdam, Brookfield in 1989. Another feather in his cap is the patent (No 170016) he received for inventing a novel puffing machine for cereals in 1988.

The four-year B.Tech Program in Computer Science and Engineering is designed to provide students an overview of computing, an understanding of the concepts, principles and skills in their application and extension, and practical experience in applied computing. Special emphasis is laid on the fundamental principles underlying computing and on developing an understanding of the engineering considerations involved in computing system design, implementation and usage. Those who successfully complete the B.Tech in Computer Science &Engineering program can either opt for a career in software engineering or pursue higher education.

&The Training & Placement Cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the college. Pre-placement training is arranged for students to improve their communication skills and soft skills. Both in-house and external agency programs are conducted on a regular basis.The training activities include regular classes for communication skill development, group discussion, debates, and mock interviews – both technical and HR. All the students are made to go through these programs during their course for nearly 200 hours. Apart from bringing in external agencies, the department of Applied Science & Humanities is also roped in to impart training to the students. The Placement Cell initiates all these steps to ensure that no student of ACE is discarded by any recruiter for poor performance. The performance of all students during the course of the training is, therefore, assessed and the weak students are identified, and then groomed by providing an augmented training. This objective appraisal enables the college to identify the strength and weakness of the students and select the strategies for improvement.

{JOB Mega Mela 2016}20th February 2016

Ammini College of Engineering (ACE) is one among the elite engineering colleges in the state where placement drives are conducted regularly for final year students. On 20th February 2016, the college conducted a mega job mela. As many as 25 companies particiapted in the drive and offered job for scores of ACE students. That all meritorious final year students should leave the college with a job offer letter in their hands is the aim of Ammini College of Engineering.

ACE gives due importance to extracurricular activities along with academics for the all-round development of the students. Genex is the cultural festival of the college, and it is celebrated every year with great pomp and pleasure. Genex 2016 was celebrated on 5th March 2016. There was a collage of programmes including music and dance. It is an occasion that proves that the students of ACE are good at extracurricular activities as well. This time also the ACE students proved that they are a class apart.

The sixth annual Sports Meet of the college was held on 27th February 2016.

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati and Madras) along with Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. It is a programme under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, initiated in 2003 for the creation of web and video courses in various disciplines of engineering, basic sciences, management and humanities. Currently more than 900 courses are available on the web portal http:/nptel.ac.in.Now, Ammini College of Engineering has started the NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTER to facilitate students to register for the NPTEL online courses as a part of their professional development courses. In the AY 2015-16 more than 400 students attended different courses.

Ammini College of Engineering is an institutional member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) since 2011. It is a national, professional, non-profit making society started in 1941.The objective of the ISTE Chapter is to keep the students and faculty abreast of the changes/improvements in technologies.

Faculty Training programCommitment is an essential element of successful teaching. So, committed teachers are the backbone of an educational institution. In order to keep the teachers committed to education and improve their caliber, faculty training programs are regularly conducted.

parent Teachers MeetThe Parents Teachers Meet (PTM) is regularly held in the college. To ensure better interaction between parents and teachers, branch-wise and class-wise PTMs are conducted every semester, usually soon after the series tests. Parents can also meet the teachers and counselors on appointment and get details about the performance of their wards.


iso 9001:2008Accreditation and assessment are very two important processes that have to be carried out to maintain the quality of engineering education or for a Total Quality Management (TQM). Hence we are in the process of implementing ISO 9001:2008 through which the institution aims a good Quality Management System.

3d Club-literary & debate ClubThe Training & Placement Cell of the college has launched a debate club called “3D Club” for improving the communication skills of the students. It enables the students to express their views and ideas freely on various issues in society.
